I am guessing the only aircraft that has IFR instrumentation is the Maule, so far? Can anyone tell me? If so is it any good? Also, I am sure this has been asked 100's of times but is there a firm answer from MS on if ATC will be released for Flight? I use skyvector also, actually I don't really use anything else. It is good, thanks for the post.

And the RV6.MS Doesn't give firm answers on anything, lol.

If you have an iPhone you can go to skyvector.com and it automatically goes to full screen showing just the charts. Very, very cool. Now I have to mount my iPhone to my yoke.

That's actually a pretty cool idea.

I would start by buying the Hawaii pack - that comes with the RV6.It has IFR instrumentation. The Maule is OK, but not half as nice to fly as the RV6 IMHO. Edited by Bert Pieke

I agree with you Bert, but the Maule is like a truck, it has a different use.Vans RV-6A is my sports car, the Mule Maule, pays for my toys.Do I make any sense or should I drink more coffee?

I'm very happy to see so many newbies taking an interest in Flight. This post proves that some are already looking beyond the "game" aspect of Flight. Here is another site like SkyVector, this one is called Runway Finder http://runwayfinder.com/

I thought about it, but I like digital ones from SkyVector so much that I'm not inclined to get paper.

Nice find. RunwayFinder and SkyVector are very similar. I think SkyVectors' interface is a bit cleaner.FWIW... Not that you were calling me a newbie, but I've been simming since the days of SubLogic's Flight Simulator for the Commodore 64 in the late 80s. I was so into it when FS9 and FSX came out that I had about $1500 worth of hardware from GoFlight that I've been selling since Flight was in beta.(I'm still wondering what happened to my original Avsim account. /shrug)WildBill Edited by wildbill2020

I can't call you something you're not WildBill! A newbie is new. If you're not new, than you're not a newbie. <wink>

Sweet, I just dug around in my "junk" boxes and found my old Hawaii sectional from 2002.
