March 7, 201214 yr Author I have noticed that some navaid frequencies aren't the same in-game as they are in on-line sources, so check the MS Flight map to make sure your frequencies are correct before you jump into a job or you might just find yourself tuning a navaid on the wrong frequency! March 7, 201214 yr I thought RunwayFinder was going down the end of February. It still says that if you click on the News tab. I'll miss it when it's gone.Hook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;

March 8, 201214 yr There are many places on the internet. Just Google "how to read sectional charts"... you will get a TON of hits!http://www.google.ca/#hl=en&gs_nf=1&cp=21&gs_id=2c&xhr=t&q=how+to+read+sectional+charts&pf=p&sclient=psy-ab&oq=how+to+read+sectional&aq=0&aqi=g3&aql=&gs_sm=&gs_upl=&gs_l=&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.,cf.osb&fp=5830983501fdae62&biw=1664&bih=958
March 8, 201214 yr where is best place for NOOB like me learn about how to interpret and use sectional charts?This wouldn't be a bad place to start: http://www.navfltsm.addr.com/vfrcharts.htm
March 8, 201214 yr where is best place for NOOB like me learn about how to interpret and use sectional charts?If it were me... giving myself advice :Tounge:I'd order a sectional chart that interests me most (like Hawaii or maybe whatever covers where I live) from Sporty's Pilot Shop or another vendor... and possibly a Terminal Area Chart.... and spend time searching over the chart doing the "oh, what's this?".Also, I would recommended downloading (and possibly printing) this FAA Chart User's Guide just in case something not on the map's legend. http://aeronav.faa.g...uide_10thEd.pdfJust spend a little time with it and quiz yourself... I think they are quite interesting maps.
March 8, 201214 yr I would appreciate if MS Flight included all sectionals and chart types as DLC packages. After all they have a partnership with Jeppesen Ramón. Time, is the one thing no one can buy.
March 8, 201214 yr A chart package from MS would be a great idea. MSFS never had charts though. I always bought SimCharts from Jeppessen, but I don't think they're doing that anymore. So it's up to MS now.
March 8, 201214 yr Commercial Member Or you could order an actual sectional for 8 bucks, or you could get an app that displays them, or you could go to skyvector to get sectionals. Noah Bryant

You are correct; there are many ways to get them; but I would prefer a DLC for Flight.Anyway Airnav, SkyVector, and every other site I know about, have sectionals and charts only for the US. How about the rest of the World?(Up until a couple years ago you could get all charts from FAA.gov) Ramón. Time, is the one thing no one can buy.

March 8, 201214 yr Commercial Member Well we will have to cross that bridge when we get there. But right now there are great resources for charts in Hawaii and Alaska Noah Bryant
