Small Airstrip Photo Project

Featured Replies

Whew, just finished the small airstrip photo project in the RV6. Man that photographer can get on your nerves a little, on the other hand was kind of nice to hear some feedback during the flight - took me a while to get through it, but I did not use any of the skip functions either. Just flew around enjoying the nice scenery, was relaxing actually.Lol, one thing for sure, you can't just run over the taxi way markers in your plane, at the final airfield I landed and was taxiing to park, there was a sign in front of me so just kept going - dang plane got stuck on the sign! Thank goodness for checkpoints! You know I know I saw several folks early on commenting on how the first thing they did was turn off the music, I have gotten to where I even enjoy it, especially with my system cranked up. What in the world has happened to me, augh!

Since there is no push back command that I am aware of, I got stuck near a tree on one of the airstrips trying to turn the plane around to take off, lol. It was actually pretty cool. The plane was partially off the ground stuck in the tree, sparks were flying, etc. Really impressive compared to FSX. I could sway the plane using rudder and brakes, but couldn't get unstuck. I expected the photographer to freak out, but he was strangely silent about that fiasco. Maybe he was passed out, though.

There really should be an option to push the plane around when you're outside it. Just grab it by the tail and pull it a little, that's all we need. Would also be realistic, pulling one of these planes might be a pain in the &@($*, but it's entirely possible.Other than that, though, I think these missions were some of the best ones. Long, detailed and interesting. And I actually found a few aerocaches just from the stuff the photographer told me!

I like how as you're on your way out of Dillingham, the photographer tries to point out the set from Lost without actually mentioning the name of the show.
