March 8, 201214 yr Anybody have any idea roughly what thrust detent 1 and detent 2 is for reverse, i am trying to set my saitek quadrant up for roughly the figures that you would expectFor my Saitek throttles I ended using the button push at the end of the throttle travel and set it in FSUIPC for engine 1 reverse and engine 2 reverse. Since the detent is there at idle it made since to me to do it that way instead of trying to configure a "Zone" in fsuipc..
March 8, 201214 yr Author By using the Button at the end the thrust lever this will just give max reverse thrust straight away.I have an axis already setup and this allows me set reverse thrust and works well, but in real life there is actually 2 detents on the reverser, so what I was trying to figure out is roughly what thrust setting are both of the detent set up, so I can then set up my reverse axis. March 8, 201214 yr Interesting question. Found this post http://forum.avsim.net/topic/113017-reverse-thurst/ where it says, quote: "The correct procedure for use of reverse is as follows:1) Deploy at touch down to either reverse idle, detent 1 (standard reverse (about 70%N1) or detent 2 (full reverse around 95% N1) as runway conditions demand......."Hope this helps. Not sure how accurate it is, but it's probably pretty close.Regards,Chris Chris Millichamp
March 9, 201214 yr Using the reverse detent button on the Saitek throttles, doesn't set reverse thrust full right away.Rather, (when mapped through FSX's own controls, not FSUIPC) it acts just like holding the F2 key as if mapped to the decrease throttle (slowly) command. You can sort of choose your reverse thrust by varying the time you keep your throttles in the reverse detent. If i want idle reverse after landing, I just quickly put the power levers in the reverse detent, listen for the click of the reverse levers unlocking, then carefully place forward of the reverse detent. It's easier than it sounds really. Full reverse, just keep them in the reverse detent.I don't know if I have explained it enough to understand, but it works good for me, without having to mess about with FSUIPC. Patrick Houghton

I'm gonna try it....(thank's for the tip) Al Stiff
