March 9, 201214 yr Ok, I decided I'll give it a shot trying to use the FS2Crew for NGX.I read the manual from top to bottom.I having some issues.in the CFG panel on the push back:1. I can't seem to be able and set the angle of the turn, the UP & DWN key are not responsive or change anything.2. the amount of feet I set seems to make no change, when I start the push back it pushes me about 5 ft straight and immediatelyturns my plane 90 Degrees (remember Problem number one? can't change the angle and it is set on default "0", but yet it turns me 90 dg')then it could push me for miles after the turn or could stop after what is probably the ft that is set in the CFG, both happened to me.no consistency.3. I like the SK button , shame it doesn't have NEXT/PREV to the SK function itself and it's only a NEXT, meaning if I pressed to fast,I must cycle the whole lot again until i get back to it.4. pressing the FA on the main panel when maximized in window mode (not full screen), doesn't give me the panel.5. pressing on the Standby Instruments (ISFD,etc), does not open nor close the Main Panel, even though I verified that the FS2Crew sectionare correctly set in the panel.cfg file. however in the Menu - view - Instruments , I can bring up the panel without a problem and setting a master Joystick buttonworks also on opening/closing the panel, that proves that the panel.cfg is correctly configured or those other two wouldn't work either.this is so far in the mean time...if I found more I'll let you know. Hi Joel,Thanks for the feedback:1. Pushback Angle on Config Panel... it wrongly displays 0. It's bug that somehow slipped into the public release version. I'm the coder and it was my mistake. The pushback will still give you a 90 degree turn. It's just the display that always reads 0. I'll fix shortly.2. Pushback distance... I'll check into it, but generally speaking just leave it at the default value.... the FSX pushback is a bit weird because FSX give you a really lazy and wide pushack turn... So it's hard to measure distances precisely.4. FA panel in full screen works for me. Just tested it. Make sure you are "airborne"... wheels off the ground... I believe that is a necessary condition in the Button version.5. I can't reproduce. Are you using any programs like EZDOK that might interfere with the VC cockpit? Thanks, B. March 10, 201214 yr Author 1. I see, no big deal.2. I know it works great when I use the same function of pushback in the NGX FMC setting the distance, you might want to look into it how they managed to do the trick.I don't want to tell you how to do your job as you better then me for sure when it comes to coding, but I am just throwing in the air the option, that maybe you could interfacewith the NGX pushback and just ride on it instead of coding a total new pushback. just a thought.I do need to set the distance personally as I have few airports that I must be pushed back over a 100 Yard before the nose turn (e.g. LLBG).4. it also happens to me not only in full screen mode , in any windows mode I noticed now.No I am still on the ground hen seeing this, so it could explain why, what it doesn't explain why I do get the menu while still on the groundin full screen mode.5. No I don't use EZDOK.I will also try what "damienw" suggesting and see if it helps. Joel Strikovsky
March 10, 201214 yr Commercial Member Hi,I can't reproduce #4 and #5.#4... it should make no difference whether full screen or windowed. I'm looking at the conditions now in the code, try this: make sure the is greater that the first checklist item, which is Pre Flight Checklist.. make sure the Checklist panel is at least one beyond that. Hopes that makes sense.#5.... I'm wondering if Track IR is maybe blocking the clickspot in the VC somehow. You still have the back up method, but I'd like to know why this happens. A few other users reported this, too.Can you please contact me via the FS2Crew Website Contact Page... I'd like to do a Remote Desktop if you don't mind.Best, B. So it's hard to measure distances precisely.i noticed this issue too, actually was visiitng the forum to see if it was common. at distance '80' it is alot of times was not enough, but when i set to 160 it only pushes back around 5-10 feet. this is with 'straight' pushback... i haven't used turning yet since that button wasn't changing which i see is already on the fix list. i would agree that the ngx built-in pushback works pretty well... maybe it's something that could be leveraged if it's accesible via the sdk.cheers-andy crosby
