March 10, 201214 yr Hi all.Is it me or has the lighting changed since SP1C for the Nav/Comm radio's. Mine now appear 'red' instead of 'white' since installing SP1C. The same goes for the flt alt/landing alt window on the overhead. I've checked the FMC options and I can't see anything there.Screenshot Attached.Any Ideas???MTIA, Martin. Martin Stacey.

March 10, 201214 yr I have only a doubt on the presence in RW of the orange/red LCD on the pressurization panel, I've seen only the white one on them.I like the new lighting for the LCDs, but not on the overhead.. :( Regards Andrea Daviero
March 10, 201214 yr Commercial Member I have only a doubt on the presence in RW of the orange/red LCD on the pressurization panel, I've seen only the white one on them.I like the new lighting for the LCDs, but not on the overhead.. :(The real 737-800 the NGX is based on most definitely has the orange LED pressurization controller digits and we were told by the pilots on the test team that all their airlines have it that way as well. Go look at 737-800 cockpit photos on the airliners site or whatever - there's a bunch of them with it. (more than there are with the white LCD version actually)You guys have to get used to the idea that the NG has literally thousands of options in real life (a lot of them aftermarket mods by the airlines rather than Boeing-installed) and we just can't possibly include them all. We could spend an entire year trying to model all of these things or we can make new stuff. The NGX already has far more selectable options than any other addon does and we think our time's better spent now making the 777, DC-6 and Secret Project #2... Keep in mind too that adding options at this point means re-making the options.inis and rebuilding over 100 livery ptps too - that's a pretty large amount of work just to add some cosmetic options like this. March 10, 201214 yr Ryan, if there is a corrispondent panel in real life, for me is not a problem (it isn't also if there's not) but, in RL I've seen only digital panels with LCDs like this:www.airliners . net/photo/Air-Italy-Polska/Boeing-737-84P/1901052/L/&sid=886c4029cc15abc7817d21aa3f01757cWhite, digits and colour when bright tending to the yellow.I searched (just a fast search) on airliners for an orange panel, but I've not found. This is the reason of my doubts about it.No need to fix for me, I tried to edit the lights file in the ngx folder but there is no specific field for the press panel alone. But I don't need to have it fixed. Regards Andrea Daviero
March 10, 201214 yr Author Ok. Thanks' guys. I'm happy if that is how the RW aircraft looks. Personally I prefer the white over the orange, but that's just me.Martin. Martin Stacey.
March 10, 201214 yr Our newest plane, in real life, has the Orange LED pressure controller too. No aftermarket parts, straight from Boeing, less than a year old. Name available upon request
March 10, 201214 yr "The NGX already has far more selectable options than any other addon does and we think our time's better spent now making the 777."Sounds good to me. Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
March 10, 201214 yr Our newest plane, in real life, has the Orange LED pressure controller too. No aftermarket parts, straight from Boeing, less than a year old.So it is something that probably can be found on older panels, this justify why I never seen them in our fleet. Regards Andrea Daviero
March 14, 201214 yr Just a question, were the transponder digits supposed to remain white?Devin Mack Devin Mack "Why yes I do sit up in trees and watch airplanes land in my free time, do you have any better suggestions for my weekend?"
March 14, 201214 yr Yup, they're correct.Andrea, I'm not sure what you mean. Both our oldest plane (well, except for the on Classic we have) and our newest have the Orange LED panels instead of the white ones. My guess is, it's a customer option, and not related to the age of the aircraft. Name available upon request
March 14, 201214 yr Not sure, if someone could make that choice. But, Our NGs had the same panels mounted on our hybrid classics with white LCD. It is just a problem of feeling, more I use the NGX with the orange display, more I feel it better. So, it is only my problem, I need to accustom with it. Regards Andrea Daviero
March 15, 201214 yr Here is one video with the orange/yellow radio lights like the ones in SP1c.The white balance is goofy on that video, but it shows the radio colors prettyclose I think.. It's the whites that look overly blue.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8GgqeXv-kj8 Mark Keith
