March 11, 201214 yr Hello , just wounder if any one can give me a feed back on FSCaptain.............
March 12, 201214 yr Asking this in the FSCaptain forums http://fscaptain.proboards.com/ will probably get you better results.PMDG has nothing to do with FSCaptain. AJ Pongress
March 12, 201214 yr Asking this in the FSCaptain forums http://fscaptain.proboards.com/ will probably get you better results.PMDG has nothing to do with FSCaptain. This is the General forum, where else better to get feedback from a product he will probably use with pmdg aircraft, plus he's probably looking for an unbiased opinion, hard to get on the developer forum.
March 12, 201214 yr I use it all the time..very good program.just about to be updated to 1.3.1.which includes multi leg routes. It's more focused on the flying rather than the passengers.although they still have to be fed and watered.also the thing i really like is that you can use any aircraft from the start. So the 600/700/800 and 900 get a good bit of abuse from me.very good support.also easy to install.highly recommended.they also provide a special interface for the NGX steve-0 :( REX SKYFORCE 3D steve howlett
March 12, 201214 yr Author This is the General forum, where else better to get feedback from a product he will probably use with pmdg aircraft, plus he's probably looking for an unbiased opinion, hard to get on the developer forum. My thought exactely, ergo I posted it here ;)I use it all the time..very good program.just about to be updated to 1.3.1.which includes multi leg routes. It's more focused on the flying rather than the passengers.although they still have to be fed and watered.also the thing i really like is that you can use any aircraft from the start. So the 600/700/800 and 900 get a good bit of abuse from me.very good support.also easy to install.highly recommended.they also provide a special interface for the NGX steve-0 :(Thx mate for your replay <S>- I also see it simulate emergency, tired burst etc. is this only simulated by the FScaptein or wil the PMDG also aknowleg this failure.......- FScaptain do not have a FO that do FO jobs, he only comments so you have to do 100% of the flying right?
March 13, 201214 yr thats right mate.he only comments ..say you forget to lower flaps for takeoff..or forget strobes,he will give you a gentle reminder.a lot of neat things in fscaptain.it does simulate failures, ice, tyre blowouts and quite a few other emergencies.you will be rewarded if you handle them correctly or penalised if you don't.you can get promotion by flying certain hours as long as you fly safely and don't bounce the passengers off the walls :( .Oh i forgot.FO handles the seatbelts.and when i'm flying they need them :( :smile:steve-0 REX SKYFORCE 3D steve howlett
March 14, 201214 yr Commercial Member FSCaptain is available in a free version that's limited only by the airports you can fly from (KOLM, KPDX, or KSEA):http://www.fscaptain.netTry it fully before you buy. No features are left out of the free version. It is completely compatible with the PMDG NGX and comes with an installable interface that lets the program monitor the cabin conditions (temperature and pressure) to determine passenger comfort and safety. Its also runs well with the other PMDG products (since this is the "general" forum!)Dutch Charles "Dutch" Owen - Developer at Military Visualizations - currently working on the C310R and SR-71A project for MSFS.
March 15, 201214 yr It's good, i'm a FSPassenger convert and have no vested interest in any product. The panel installation can be a little complex, normally involves editing the panel.cfg file. It lacks the economy options of FSP and i thought that would bother me, but actually i have found that the FS Captain way is better for me.It is somewhat editable, probably around the same level as FSP and includes a rank and pay structure for progression this has no impact on the aircraft you can fly. There are things that i don't like, i would like the progression to have some impact other than the hourly rate, the panel installation can be complex (if used with FS2Crew), but that is all really.I would suggest downloading the demo as mentioned above. March 15, 201214 yr Author Thx Gents, i had downloaded the Demo an just look at it, but I purchased it yesterday and wil test it out on my favorite airports ;)
