Command "select autotrottle off / on" is inverse

Featured Replies

Hi Bryan, some small issue need to fix:On cruise I tried some FO commands and I found that the "select auto throttle off / on" command is inverse. So if is off and you fire up something like "select auto throttle off" then my new friend turn the switch to the on position.Same vise versa.

That's interesting. This might explain why I can't get the FO to turn the autothrottle off even when the command is recognized in the green bar.

Out of curiosity,..why don't you guys turn it off yourself ?. The disco switch is on the throttle and the switch is right in front of you. I wouldn't be asking the f/o to do that RW. I have mine programed to my joystick.further, .if autothrottles are not desired, deselect SPD on MCP, autothrottles will remain engaged in ARM and this maintains alpha floor (underspeed) protection and instant and accurate power setting with TOGA selection it will also prevent overboost on go-around and provide flap overspeed protection for low altitude level-off on go-around.

I'm just lazy and like novelty of having someone to boss around in the cockpit :Kiss:But seriously though I also have the autothrottle and autopilot disable mapped on my yoke and usually use them. However what I haven't worked out is a way of silencing the associated alarms without having to reach for the mouse to cancel them on the panel.

Push the mapped button twice.

The difference between you and me is, that you are a RW pilot. I`m not. So, I didn`t know that.Anyway thanks for explanation, now I know the RW procedure.Happy to help to fix some small issues :(
