March 16, 201214 yr I read that Flight is supposed to automatically trim or something to that effect when using the mouse to fly. Perhaps there is an issue when on the ground roll and it over compensates for torque?
March 16, 201214 yr It is important to NOT move the mouse while the flight/mission/challenge is loading. The mouse auto-centers while loading.Fred. Frederic Steiner.
March 17, 201214 yr Moderator When using the mouse to control the a/c, the rudder is "autocoordinated" with aileron input. Technically, when moving the mouse left/right you aren't even really controling the ailerons directly. There's a complex PID algorithim that translates the mouse position to drive the ailerons, rudder and elevator. Fr. Perhaps there is an issue when on the ground roll and it over compensates for torque? No, that tool tip refers to the fact that you can just leave the mouse in place to "trim" the plane. There's no auto-trim in the game.
March 20, 201214 yr Hi FolksAuboin -Sorry I'd missed this thread previously.Your video showsthat you do have a slight right-to-left crosswind component. No wind indicateddoes not mean there's no wind. The HUD wind indicator is only displayedat windspeeds greater than 4 knots. The initial drift right,is your aircraft weather-cocking into that wind. You're counteracting that weather-cocking driftby moving the mouse cursor to left of centered.Whilst on the ground, its steering the nosewheel, and affecting the ailerons & rudder. As soon as the wheels leave the ground, only the ailerons & rudder are having an effect. So that counter-action is causing your bank to the left.HTHATBPaul ODG Preview
