March 24, 201214 yr If you have a little extra space in the budget, or can sacrifice somewhere else on the build, I would highly recommend going with the 'K' (overclock) version of the i2500. It made a world of difference for me, performance wise, when pushing it gently over 4ghz and I think you'll find fsx very enjoyable! Best wishes and have fun with the new build ;) ✈ Alan ✈

And just to clarify for the OP: You do not have the "K" version. That means absolutely no overclocking. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules

March 25, 201214 yr Cheap Wad with computers just buy mid range desktop ones for 500 to 700 bucks because just want to fly FSX or Xplane at decent frame-rates and Overclocking I do not feel comfortable doing that because I reuse old parts from computers sometimes. AMD products do the the job just fine. Ivy Bridge I7 is not needed, and thought about getting,it "What Top of The Line in horsepower in 2012 is bottom feeder power in 2018?"
