Slow Climb

something similar happened to me once, found out I was using metric and had dialled FL280 as metresRichard
Providing you miraculously found enough lift to get there, is the cabin strong enough to maintain pressure without failing at 28,000 meters?

Don't use FSInn's weather - it's bugged and the temperature goes up instead of down with altitude - reduces lift hugely.
Increasing temps reduce excess thrust.

What was that?Best regards,Robin.
High Ci is just not realistic. Southwest uses 20 and SAS uses 7. Cathay used 80 a few years ago but that was in their 747's.
Yes and no. It is not realistic in the meaning most airlines nowadays use low CI, but that is just a function of fuel and labor prices, not much else. But there still are operators that will use quite high CI (mostly, if not only BBJ operators though...) and it is also realistic in that the 737 will handle them without problem.
