I downloaded the two demo regions from SimSavvy and was very impressed - and I am not really a photoscenery kind of guy.

Cheers!

Yes, in the Commercial Support Section here on AVSIM, there's a Photoreal scenery forum which discusses SimSavvy and other photo scenery areas.Best regards,Jim

Seems pretty good value to me, considering just how much you are getting...and an $80 hard drive with it!Buying the Horizon UK VFR scenery will set you back $130 bucks or so for the lot...and it is a comparatively small area. That said, it would be nice if you could buy it in chunks - would make it more affordable and I am sure most people aren't going to be traversing the entirety of North America in a hurry.Having sampled the quality, I would be buying it in a flash except for two things:1) No night-time texture variants.2) No airports. As a Limey looking to get into photoscenery, I will be looking at the Horizon VFR along with the UK2000 airports, plus the treescape autogen. The first two can be had for a bundle deal here.I think for most people, if you are going to fly photo, it is far more appealing to do so over scenery that you know well and/or have lived in.

Cheers!

Yeah photoreal Asia would be awesome. I very rarely fly in North America, but Southeast Asia is amazing to me because of its amazing sceneries & my holidays there.

I can't seem to find any slow and low screenshots. Do you disable auto-gen with this product or are there still nice 3D trees, antennas, buildings, houses, etc?

No autogen...From the demo I tried it starts to look Ok-ish from about 500, good from 1000 and excellent from 1500+As I said above, it is the lack of 3D airports that bothered me most.

Cheers!

The scenery still looks great at dusk. If you have ultimate terrain x installed, it makes a very nice looking combination because night lightings do showScenery objects such as airport buidings, airports signs , antennas and so forth show in the scenery but autogen objects don't.@sidhI don't think that Simsavvy will ever create a high resolution scenery for asia. Larry ,the guy who runs this venture, has been dicouraged by his sales. It is a pity because the product is great. Nevertheless he made a low resolution (30m) scenery for Asia from satelite imagery. The size of the scenery is roughly 100 Go. Maybe you can contact Larry to find out if you can purchase it.

So to get this working properly you would turn autogen off but leave the scenery complexity slider up to get the custom airport objects remaining?I do have UTX too - i might have to take another look!

Cheers!

You will find one herehttp://forum.avsim.n...y-low-altitude/It says it all@ Mr benevolentYou don't need to turn autogen off, autogen objects simply don't show. You can set the scenery object slider to whatever level you want, the higher the better. Since there is no autogen displayed, there is no impact on FPS
