Would getting 2 GTX 970 SLI be better than getting a Single GTX 980 ? Price will still be less. & Liam, Can you tell how does it perform with all the high end addons..?? are you getting 30 FPS locked ? (WITH REX4,ASN,UT,PMDG,AIRPORT ADDONS ETC) ??

Thanks a lot everyone for your suggestions, So right now I have 2 options either to wait till next year or get GTX 970 with 6700K series and Z170 board but since I will be very busy with ATPL exams next year for now I might go with 6700K,OCd GTX970 and Z170 board... Hello everyone, I have spent countless money on FSX in hope of getting it smooth but could not. Since new P3D V3 looks promising I have decided to upgrade my current PC which is.: I7 2600K @ 4.2 Ghz GTX 680 8GB DDR-III But with this PC that I currently have ,P3D fails to perform with High end addons like - PMDG,ASN,REX4.I get about 20 FPS and addons airports it's as less as 12-15 ) So after watching youtube videos on new RIGs where P3D V3 performs much better My new Upgrad shall be I7 4970K GTX980 (4GB) 16GB RAM However I still doubt if I upgrade , It(FPS) will not be siginificantly improved. I remember few months back when People used to say get i7 2600k series and its smooth as anything but No. Will the above requirements promise me to give @least 25-30 FPS LOCKED with All high end addons & settings to High?I cannot composite visuals . Is having a Smooth NON LAGGY sim a myth? Low FPS - Simulation experience ruined for me . Please help me out Thanks in Advance ... (People with same RIGs as above can guide me better or any one expert in it) Best regards

I am getting strange FSX Fatal error on start up which is related to visualfx.dll . The strange part is it occurs on starting FSX and sometime it does not occur at all but that happens very rarely! I have tons of addons installed, I want to try everything not to do re-install that would take me a lot of time, Also my FSX was nicely setup! :mellow: I don't have any corrupt logbook I have deleted/refreshed FSX.cfg I have done FSX reg repair, I am using latest FSX accel pack. GPU drivers updated(GTX680 ,I7) I did not install any new addons I am using FTXG+Vector+ASN+REX4..Rest are addons of A/C If any help or suggestion to overcome this? Please let me know will be highly appreciated Thanks in advance

Alright guys,Yday I finished off the flight from Doha-London*UK2000* . I noticed I kept LOD_RAD4.5xxxxx http://pho.to/6w3Eu <-Mysettings However, After landing at EGLL and parking ,my VAS was about 3,8GB almost close to 4 GB but did not hit. Is it normal? Or Shall I further reduce settings which I don't want to since it will look very bad than!

You have turned on highways, railroads, large water bodys ,and the various landclasses but mine is all off! except for water features. How much VAS do you have with T7 when landing at EGLL with Uk2000?

The bad weather was like a minute away so it could not change in an instant. So lowering tilt would have helped? I did it as well did not seem to help much. BTW I am using ASN Sp1 Beta ,

Hi everyone, I just wanted to make something sure on which I have doubt. On my PMDG T7 screen I saw red and yellow colors ND.. Tiny but once reduced range it went bigger(Ofcourse) . However, When I approach them which I did today to test it out it began to shed off on the WXR ND screen it first turned green and almost dissapeared. I was using Auto -2A at cruise . even tried 0M still it was dissapeared from screen. So my question is is this a bug or a real world thingy because that cloud was just 1 minute away so it also cannot be that it went off by the time I reached... Is it a bug? If its not a bug than why does that happen?

OOM ..after arrival at EGLL UK2000 . LOD_RAD is 4.5xxxxx TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD 2048/1024 <- Makes no difference Have been trying every possible things past more than 6 months but no luck. sometimes I wonder.. Should we further invest into this 8 years old sim? and should developers keep on developing on one of the most unstable software in the world probably in which even they are limited.

with a card like 780 you are getting such a low FPS? Damn how people call it better performing version? I get 20 on PMDG777s with stunning visuals in FSX :o & dense areas/Addons

Na I will require Academic version only than.. Most of them normal FSX type users use this only?

Guys, there are several licenses which one Should I buy? I need Basic P3D later I can add addons in it!

Is it true? One cannot use P3D unless they have Multimillion $ PC.. Can we use same settings as High as FSX ? ~GTX680 and i7 [email protected]
