August 24, 201411 yr Very nice, what does it run like? Is it usable? Does it have an impact on VAS? Ian R Tyldesley
August 24, 201411 yr Author Very nice, what does it run like? Is it usable? Does it have an impact on VAS? It does run good. Took a while for the adjustments to P3d to get it to run good. I could not believe that I needed to drop the sliders down and I also could not use REX Essentials for the clouds, REX would bring the FPS down around 12-16 with plenty of micro and some large stutters. Using the default and also some of the Global cloud options it will run very smooth in the 20's and 30's. Clear sky's run 35+. This next pic has the weather set at Building Storms and this runs in the low 20's until the rain starts and then drops to around 19-20 which is still decent. It is clear as it can be, I am happy with the monitor and I will be happier when I go from the GTX780 to a Titan. Nick Sciortino
August 25, 201411 yr Is the Titan a useful upgrade if you're going to run a 4k monitor? Is the price getting a little better now that it's been out for awhile? I currently run a 780gtx superclocked with a 27" dell ultra sharp ( & a [email protected]) and I'm happy with is but I've been eyeing the 4k. Dave

Dave I'm not sold on a Titan to be the end all on such a high resolution monitor but if you are not running a 6gig GTX780 - you may want to think about a bump up when you can - if your dell is not a 2560 x 1440 monitor then you are not in dyer need of an upgrade - these higher resolution monitors will eat as much ram as you can throw at it Rich Sennett
August 25, 201411 yr My Dell 27" is running at 2560x1440 and I am happy with it on the whole though the FPS does dip at times. Would the Titan help here? Dave

Dave How much ram is on your GTX780 ? need to know this - if you are lower than 6 gig - I would go with a gtx780 6 gig card - cheaper and the money difference does not justify the performance difference - when I bought mine there was not a GTX780 to buy Rich Sennett
August 25, 201411 yr Other than the Titan I believe the max for a 780gtx is 3 gigs...I have this. The 770 had up to 4 gigs available.
