Course "knob" on FO's side not showing the correct position.

Hello,This is a really anal point, but one worth mentioning even if only for the comedy value. Also, I'm not even sure if it does it on the real NG - maybe it's just coincidence! When you set the course on the FO's side, it seems that the needle points about 60degrees right of the actual course set. The captains side works flawlessly.I'm taking a guess that they're both meant to work the same way, if not - ignore this. For those of you who are confused, I've posted a screenshot comparing the two.mcp.jpg

I dont think turning the knob by x amount of degrees corresponds to x amount of course change. That would be a I TRIED TO USE A PROFANITY HERE - AREN'T I STUPID! to set precisely...

Fabo, did you try to say I TRIED TO USE A PROFANITY HERE - AREN'T I STUPID!?Matt, there is no correlation between the knob and the degrees. It's just a label.

Another point to note Matt, is that far from the left CRS knob "pointing correctly", North (when drawn as a cross like that depicted on the CRS knob) is the point closest to the E/W bar, not the point furthest from it. That said, it is actually pointing at ~080.The real MCP uses an unlimited angle rotary encoder, so it can start at any position. The data that really matters is on the ND display.Best regards,Robin.

Yeah, this isn't meant to correlate with the actual course. Think about what would happen if you spun the knob with the plane powered down - that'd throw it out of position right there. I think the icon on the knob is just to let you know it's the course knob lol.

Yes I definitely tried to say "I TRIED TO USE A PROFANITY HERE - AREN'T I STUPID!" :Just Kidding:Actually it was to be a word denoting a sex of a dog in its original meaning. As I have enough problems setting knobs some 10 times larger with one degree precision. I can hardly imagine trying to turn that one by one degree.
