April 10, 201214 yr Respect is a two way street, and sometimes the communication style of a (minority) of AVSIM staff can appear that the individual has no value to AVSIM. Some staff are like dinosaurs, barking orders and severely castigating members of this community, often for arbitrary or petty 'offences'. This is not the military, we have not signed up to be addressed in that way; we are supporters of this community and of AVSIM. Moderation and forum management can be a tough job and sometimes decisions and actions will not be popular, but there is no excuse for a complete lack of willingness to offer one iota of respect and politeness, while delivering that duty. I say again that I am referring to a minority here; and there are many others in the community who have also observed with disappointment, the type of behaviours and communication I am referring to. Most people are just more afraid than I to say it how it is. ?
April 10, 201214 yr ? Moderation is a tough role on any forum, I'm not playing that down. And most, SpiritFlyer, Geoff, and yourself etc do a great job. But there will always be a contingent that misues their privilege.
