April 28, 201214 yr @Frank....know what you mean, with everything turned on. But after the initial install and wander around with "Bob"...taking a few screenies for the collection. I always turn the eye candy off for flying purposes, with all APs....not into the Hubs. Prefer instead to have high levels of AI GA etc, both on and above the ground. Arnie....if it ain't broke, don't fix it...

Frank Interestingly, I just had my computer into the shop because I had a root HD fail required reinstall of Win7 (don't have disks as the Win7 was part of the computer Hd partition). And, I didn't even think about asking him to look at that for me. Maybe later. Interestingly, after reinstall and now even after loading up my software applications I am getting best performance ever from FSX (which was backed up on a separate HD. I don't know what machine you have, but if I did I would be willing to help you on Skype if you have a second computer to talk on. It is really easy, but first you would have to go buy an aftermarket cooler, and a few odds and ends, which usually is no big deal putting together either. Since I owned them, I can best help with the X58 Asus (i7-9XX), or the ASUS Sandy Bridge variants to both put on a cooler and to overclock. Can't remember enough about my 9550 CPU and MB, or previous machines to be useful. All this is not a big deal if you have someone explain the simple steps. and walk you through it as you go. I just removed my heatsink, swapped out a CPU, cleaned things up, and stuck it all back together and was online is something like 30 minutes. The OCing is quite easy with the right experienced helper, meaning someone who has OCed the same kind of motherboard and CPU series. If interested, just let me know.
