  1. Better yet Oculus Rift. I would sell my monitor if I could run Arma 3 on the Rift.
  2. GTA V on PC will be the final nail in the coffin of those console scrublords.
  3. I don't play FSX anymore TBH, any addon is ridiculously expensive (I'm looking at you, ORBX) and it's worse than playing on a console. I dunno, maybe they should set up some kind of distribution service via Steam where it's cheaper and you don't have to deal with incompetent companies that mess up your payment, etc.
  4. More excited for this than Half-Life 3
  5. Just thought I'd start this topic just for fun. I'm using Cherry MX Blues myself, the keyboard pictured is the wonderful Deck Francium Pro. Tenkeyless is awesome. Post pictures of your own if you like.
  6. When you think about it it's not that long away. The gap between Broadwell and Skylake is skewed compared to Intel's past release history.
  7. meeeeeeeeeeeeeeh, teh 747 is boring y not make a ufo or sum ######
  8. The IPC increase from Sandy Bridge to Haswell is minimal. If I were you, I would wait for Skylake. It's a tock which means and architecture change, which usually brings a larger IPC increase than a tock.
  9. To be honest, I don't recommend OEM PC's. Get someone to custom build a PC for you. It'll end up cheaper and might even run better.
  10. No not yet. But I've heard of a quad core AMD chip with a stock clock of 4ghz, which is pretty impressive considering you don't have to buy an aftermarket cooler for it but FSX does not perform very well with AMD chips, just like they do with their graphics cards.
  11. Thanks, downloading the new drivers now. Just takes a bit long with my slow internet.
  12. I had someone else overclock my CPU for me. Have you got a local gaming computer shop, maybe they could overclock it for you? Frank
  13. Not surprised considering it does not have a VC. I've stopped playing MS Flight now, i'm more immersed with my Carenado 337 and Orbx sceneries.
  14. You'll need something bigger than a full tower.....Cooler Master is going to have to create a whole new tower from scratch! Called a...uhhh...MEGA TOWER!
  15. Hi Rick, I would recommend YBAS. It is extremely high quality, has the new ORBX Natureflow and has a reasonably long runway for airliner ops. I have it and it is absolutely wonderful.
  16. Overclocking would really boost those frames up. Do you have an aftermarket CPU cooler?
  17. Hello all, Just letting you know that the winners of the ORBX screenshot competition are Eric C and Derek McAllan. They both tied on 7 points, so ORBX, quite generously, paid for a second SC Flight Panel for Derek ($999 AUD). Well done you two, you both deserved the panel with screenshots like that! More Information: http://www.orbxsyste...ed/page__st__60 And here are the entries: http://www.orbxsyste...ies-now-closed/ Again, well done to Derek and Eric and the rest who submitted screenshots! Just a heads-up! Frank
  18. Sorry for making a unrealistic request. Frank

Hello all, I'm looking forward to the T7, but I would like to make a request, which is, can you make one other version of the T7 where part of it's wings fold up, this was an idea Boeing actually had so the aircraft could fit in a small parking spot so other aircraft can park beside it. I read this idea in a very informative Boeing 777 book. Frank
  20. Okay, here are the shots. I tried what you said and it worked perfectly! Catalyst AA: Catalyst AA mode: Catalyst Anisotropic filtering: Thanks!
  21. To be honest, I would'nt say that Flight is competing with P3D. Why do I say this? Because they are both targeted at different audiences. Just my opinion. Frank
  22. I was browsing Youtube and came across this hilarious video about a kid trying to make his own action movie! I just couldn't resist posting it on here! Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCfbryEl9dY He must've had too much Ovaltine! Sorry if this video is not supposed to be on here.
  23. Yes, It's the truth! I've only just started though, I'm familiar with photoreal, AFCAD (e.g, ADE work) and object placement. Frank
  24. Yes, things drastically dropped for me too on my old HDD. I had ORBX AI traffic, ORBX AU SP4 and some OZX scenery on it. Whenever I switched to tower view, AI aircraft view or I was even just sitting in my cockpit (sometimes) the ground textures would get very, very "mushy" and it looked like mud or water that was polluted. It took 30-40 seconds for those textures to load back up to normal so in the end I put the "texture resolution" bar in FSX to 2 metres so they'd load up quicker but that only improved it a little bit. But still, I found it quite ironic that the textures blurred while I was sitting in the cockpit for the whole time flying (keep in mind that I was flying the default C172, so it did'nt put a very big load on FSX) so I presumed only that problem was due to my old graphics card ( an NVIDIA GT220, 1gb) had a low core and memory clock. I now have an ASUS GTX 560(no-Ti). But with my new computer with an SSD, I don't have the cockpit problem at all but I still have the ground textures problem with AI planes and Tower view which is perfectly normal with those textures loading up in an absolutely impressive time of 5-10 seconds depending on what texture setting I had set.Apologies for hijacking this thread with talk about graphics cards and SSD's,Frank
