April 15, 201214 yr Can someone explain why I always hear the engine sound in vc and the aeroplane is in cold and dark no engines running. When I toggle to outside there is no sound. Also why does the NGX and MD11 go in overspeed when I'm in AP cruz all the time. April 16, 201214 yr It's a sound bug within FSX, turn sound off then back on (default Q key) and it resets and fixes that false sound issue. The reason you're getting sudden overspeeds is because real world weather suddenly updates and the wind direction changes in a instant, I had this issue bad also so I purschased a registered verion of FSUIPC and used the weather smoothing options (real world weather remains but it smooths it out wiithout insta-change) and have never had the problem again. Otherwise just turn off weather updates inflight. Jay Vorkapic

April 25, 201214 yr Author I have purchased fsuipc and was wondering if it will effect my REX weather at all and is there a tutorial out there for recommended settings. George Lee Asus Maximus Hero IX Motherboard, Intel i7 6700K CPU, Geforce GTX 1080, Corsair 16Gb memory, Corsair case, Corsair PSU
April 25, 201214 yr Hi Barona, If you are only running REX, do a search for FSUIPC and REX and you will find some settings. I used wind smoothing on fsuipc to help with the sudden wind changes and it makes a difference. I now use ASE with RE textures and there is a very good post by Ryan about aettings for ASE wih FSUIPC. All the best. Will Reynolds Flight Sim Addict
April 26, 201214 yr FSX is well known for this and it does not matter what addon you carry you will always get this problem.... it can't handle the sound cone very well ......
April 26, 201214 yr Author I did select the wind smoothing option and the aerplane was not jerking back and forth with the wind changes which was the purpose for getting fsuipc. This was good advice, never knew what this program did until now. i did find some info on the web so I will play with settings. April 26, 201214 yr Barona, fsuipc is fantastic, try mapping your controls with it, eliminates control spikes, and adds more functions to your setup. All the best Will Reynolds Flight Sim Addict
April 27, 201214 yr Author I will and I was going to do that yesterday but I ran into problems like I posted. Not sure if the installation of fsuipc is the culprit but all of my control assignments were gone and when I try to reassign I get fatal error and FSX closes down. Cant fly if I cant control the aeorplane so need to investigate. Never had this problem before. Has anyone ever had this problem? April 27, 201214 yr Commercial Member Try and get into the sim using a default plane first, mess with FSUIPC, and then close the sim, reopen and jump into the NGX. Thereafter, you should be able to run FSUIPC even when in the NGX just fine. Kyle Rodgers
April 28, 201214 yr Author I'm trying to program the key commands using fsuipc but cant figure out how to program the View(next catagory) S command using my saitek switches. Which fsuipc command does this anyone? George Lee Asus Maximus Hero IX Motherboard, Intel i7 6700K CPU, Geforce GTX 1080, Corsair 16Gb memory, Corsair case, Corsair PSU
