The Corsair manual is very basic so that first time users have no issues during installation. I strongly reccomend getting an H100 or 80 due to the simplicity, aesthetics, and pricepoint.
April 25, 201214 yr I myself am no expert and I managed to easily build my entire setup within a couple of hours. Hours? :) I remember seeing a video somewhere a guy building a simple computer inside of 10 minutes. That includes CPU inserting.
April 25, 201214 yr Hours? :) I remember seeing a video somewhere a guy building a simple computer inside of 10 minutes. That includes CPU inserting. Well, I had to wire all of the cables behind the motherboard... This took literally 90% of my time during the build..
April 25, 201214 yr You don't get a joke from time to time, right? :) Of course... And how many weeks did you take to build yours? :LMAO:
April 25, 201214 yr I highly disagree on the CPU cooling part. No doube the Noctua NH-D14 is very good, but for half the price you get a Scythe Mugen 2, which does exactly the same job, and the temps are exactly the same. Don't believe me? Look: You see how the Scythe at full load only runs 0.7C hotter than the Noctua? Not worth the extra 30$ IMO. And the H100 only runs 5 degrees colder than both, the big advantage of the H100 is imo that it takes up very few space. Arjen Vandervelde

April 26, 201214 yr Beautiful. You should OC. I don't know that cooler (aren't there any known brands in the shop where you are buying?), but it should work just fine up to 4.5 or even higher.

April 26, 201214 yr Author Quick question - is Corsair H80 really maintenance free? I mean "free" something like "install, forget and do not touch at all'. I'm not familiar with the idea how liquid cooler works and think that perhaps it needs some maintenance from time to time. I hope I'm wrong. 9950X3D, X870E ROG CROSSHAIR HERO, Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB DDR5-6000 PC5-48000, ASUS RTX 5070Ti 16GB, 9100 PRO 4TB Samsung ,990 PRO 4TB Samsung, AX1600i 1600 Watt 80 Plus Titanium ATX, ASUS 360 ARGB EXTREME 360mm Liquid CPU Cooling Kit.

I'm not familiar with the idea how liquid cooler works and think that perhaps it needs some maintenance from time to time. I hope I'm wrong. Yes, I have an H100 and I installed it the day I built my setup and I haven't touched it ever since. It is VERY easy to install.
May 13, 201214 yr Hehe, the new corsair lineup isn't liquid cooler like your thinking... It's all self-contained, there's no ongoing maintenance like the professional ones... You put it on and you're good to go. I use the H60 it's great, takes up little space. Ryan - What case is that? That is one of neatest, tidiest cases I have ever seen!
