April 28, 201214 yr Hello all I have been looking through the forum for the following problem: FO: Startlevers? Me: Cutoff FO: Please double check that! This happens to me 99.99% of the time. Cicling throug cutoff and detent did not do the trick for me. All the rest is working perfectly!!!! My specs: Windows 7 Pro 64 Nvidia GTX 480 OS on Solid state disc FSX on E drive 1t All other programs on D drive FSX, AES, AS2012, FSInn, TrackIr 5 Plse any suggestions, not a fatal problem, just a pitty  Pieter
April 28, 201214 yr If I am understanding your problem correctly the easiest way is to get the FO to shut down the engines. I get him to do this and so have no problem with the start levers. Command is Shutdown engine number one (then 2). William Hall
April 28, 201214 yr Author Hello William, Sorry should have told you all it is at the pre flight checklist Pieter
April 28, 201214 yr No problem Pieter. The levers should be at cutoff already - are they not? Are you using a saved flight startup? William Hall
April 29, 201214 yr Is this the only "double check that' or 'are you sure' that you're getting? I had this problem as well and Bryan helped me out with it. Reinstalling FS2Crew (without uninstalling) fixed it. Give that a shot. -Rick
April 29, 201214 yr Commercial Member Are you using external hardware? If so, ensure your start lever switches are in sync before starting FS2Crew. Try cycling them. Cheers, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
April 30, 201214 yr Author Hello all, Thanks for the reactions. Yes startlevers are in cutoff position. Yes I'm using a saved startup position This is the only "blib" I have all the rest is well, with the exeption that I do not seem to be able to learn my comp. the word "units". Yes I did uninstall and reinstall FS2crew No I do not use extarnal switches. Will try to reinstall without uninstalling rgds Pieter
April 30, 201214 yr Commercial Member Pieter, Try it without the saved situation file. Saved situation can cause funky problems sometimes. Units: Remember it needs to be said like this: * Example responses for the 'Stabilizer Trim' challenger. Four Point Zero Units Four Point One Units Six Point Eight Units Seven Point Five Units B. May 1, 201214 yr Author Hello Bryan, For one reason or another the computer does nor want to swollow the word "units". Added it to the dictionairy etc. Even if I say only units it keeps asking for the setting. In the end it switches through after I say "set" But the problem of the starter levers still persists rgds, Pieter
May 1, 201214 yr Commercial Member Hi Pieter, You can't say "units" by itself. You have to say, for example, "five point five units". Try doing it that way. As for the Start Levers: Hard to guess. Try using the default PMDG livery as a test. Cheers, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
