I disagree, we want to squeeze whatever we have out of the hardware we got, and we talk for use with FSX here.

CL9 is slow, and with 2T?

Slow..

Turn up the Volt, play with the timings, and set it to 1T.

:Loser:

PS: What´s your timing on these: 8GB Mushkin Blackline / Exceleram 4x2GB @ 2133MHz CL8????

8-11-11-30-2T

Thanks Dazz, but that´s very, very slow IMO!

I´ll bet my GSkill 1600 Mhz CL7 1T are faster than yours?

Maybe I´m bigger than you too, and can win in a boxing match?

:LMAO:

These are my results Ali, I tested different settings and faster MHz / loose timings work better in FSX (slightly better) than slower speed with tighter timings.

The trend is to speed up RAM with timings increasing, it's been like that for ages

Speed makes a small difference, but it can be up to a 10% going from 1333 to 2400MHz. CAS latency has a little impact too, marginal but it's there, but the rest of the timings are totally irrelevant in my experience.

Thanks, but I don´t agree..

Your timings are not OK for hig perf.

As I said, benchmarks are not real world and there is no benchmark test that is going to show you which memory is faster in FSX when the two products are very close in real world performance."

PS: It´s morning here on the farm, I´ll have to feed the pigs now, C ya!

Have you tested it yourself?

I thought moving PCIE slots had fixed my issue last night.. Finally got an Avg FPS of 32 with no overclock and fsxmark11 test..I then applied a 4.8mhz overclock and got an average 42FPS, still not great but I would live with that and way better than my previous best of 27FP in fsxmark11..Tried all sorts of test, kostas harware guide etc but never got past the 42 mark..

It was a late night by the time I went to bed..

So my memory and a corsair H80 cooler turn up this morning, so before I change anything I run the test again, everything left the same my FPS has dropped back to 25 :(

So all day I have been trying to get the 42 average back, I have tried different PCIE slots, I have swapped out memory, and just upgraded my bios to see if I can get this thing working..

I think I will throw in the towel on this one and order a new MOBO and processor..

Im going to join in on the other thread discussing the ivybridge..If I order by 10pm GMT I can have all the parts here tomorrow, hopefully ill have more luck and then can send back my parts for testing.

Ill be ordering from here http://www.ebuyer.com/store/Components/cat/Motherboards-Intel

so MOBO and processor combo let me know which I should go for..Yes you get to help me spend my money.. and I would love to get a top slot on the fsxbench11 results..

@Dazz: No, haven´t tried it myself, cheaper letting the experts do it, and I´m too busy with the hogs om the farm.

Not too different from FSX though, which is a hog also, sort of..!

:Just Kidding:

haha, your farm is far better, I'm pretty sure about that
