May 9, 201214 yr Hello The first time you want to read a PDF you will be in the same position, no biggie really, just D/L Foxit Reader. Same with DVD playback, just Google it and you will find plenty of freeware better than MS could supply. Amen!
May 9, 201214 yr MPC-HC works on DVDs using the EVR renderer. MadVR gives "DVD macrovison fail" but I think that is a problem on Win 7 as well. Don't have any BD material or drives so don't know about that. I guess there's other options for viewing DVD/BD but I think I won't kick that hornet's nest. scott s. .
May 10, 201214 yr I much prefer VLC.. I haven't come across anything video related it is unable to play yet.. :)
May 10, 201214 yr Another VLC user here! It plays everything and has a lot more functions then WMP. I never even went through the setup procedure for WMP the last years.
