CDU Preflight

I was going through the checklists of setting up the aircraft for departure when I came across the cdu pre flight section. I am using FS2 Crew and keep getting prompted to check rudder and aileron trim. What am I missing? The reason I posted this here is because I believe it has more to do with operation of the aircraft rather than FS2 crew.

The rudder/aileron trim has nothing to do with the FMS preflight. You need to check that the trims are centered. The trim knobs are located on the rear part of the radio console.

Is this what your talking about? Is this right? I cant tell if its centered other than the fact that its at zero.

Yes. That needs to be centered at 0. The aileron trim can be checked on the control column. It's the numbers and dashes that are at the top center of the control column. If the wheel is centered, aileron trim is good to go.

not quite sure whats going on here. by default trim is at "0". so I dont know why this is in issue. Perhaps I should be starting from cold and dark rather than short?

It's just a check. You don't need your aircraft doing things that it shouldn't be doing when you least expect it.

FS2Crew says in their manual to start fro mcold and Dark.

I believe that would solve your issue.

To continue the checklist you can aslo say "set" or "checked"

when you come to this part say free and zero u need to use or u can use checked or next. Check out the fscrew2 manual if your not sure of all the commands or go to the forum of fscrew2 and there a few good flow sheets that people have done to make it easier
