Classic Aircraft

Featured Replies

A friend of mine gave me a call and asked if I wanted to fly to Geauga County Airport to witness the auction of a private collection of aircraft that have been kept at this field for quite some time. Unfortunately, due to other committments I am unable to accompany him.

I went to the auction site to look at the aircraft and was absolutely amazed at the museum quality planes in this private collection. I thought it would be nice to share these auction photos with the aviation enthusiasts that frequent this forum.

This will be an end to an era for those that frequented Geauga County Airport. I hope you enojy the aircraft. I only wish I could see them in person tomorrow.........

I have to agree those are my favorites. However the 1939 Waco is pretty sweet as well.

It would be a toss up between the GeeBee and the Spartan.

Ive always loved the GeeBee, but that Spartan is gorgeous.

I'd go for the lovely 1939 Spartan.
