May 22, 201214 yr I already have LVD767-300 for FS9 and made a quick flight yesterday. I would like to ask if the FSX version is visually enhanced over the FS9 version? What else has changed inproved? Since I as a FS9 version owner can have it for $15 I'm trying to decide if to buy it?
May 22, 201214 yr It's worth every penny... New Features and Enhancements - RDMI OFF flags. - R ADF receiver added (see also R ADF ident button). - keyboard shortcuts for lights and RMI switches. - Aerosoft’s EFIS boxes compatibility (updated mcp747.exe provided). - MCP re-pushing ALT HOLD button refreshes the target altitude. - EHSI auto switch to TRUE heading when near poles. - engine bleed air pressure is now biphasic (HP/LP valves). - enhanced SDK (see LVLDSDKDemo.exe for demo). - control surface indicators show droop. - no more “cargo overheat” messages. - “PROBE HEAT” message logic. - crossbleed start needs ±70% N2. - printing of keyboard shortcuts & quick tips now possible on network printer. - G/S INHIBIT only inhibits glideslope warning. - the ADF needles will always point correctly to ADF station relative to nose when tuned. - the VOR needles will point incorrectly if wrong MAG heading is entered when in ATT mode (the heading card will be incorrect). - when signal or heading ref is lost VOR needles will freeze in place. - when signal is lost ADF needles will freeze in place. - there is now a minimal delay of 15 sec between two flaps commands. - Hydraulic fluid needs to be refilled (ask for failures repair). - PITOT/AoA lights added on overhead. - FWD/AFT CARGO DOOR EICAS messages added. - Keyboard commands for rudder trim. - Rudder trim, Stab Trim & Cabin pressurisation tooltips for value readout (digital). - Air Driven Pump (ADP) logic added - “pressure leak” failure replaced by “fluid leak”. - Runway STAR transitions implemented. - No config warning for FLAPS 20° at take-off. The model looks better, but no major changes. DJ
May 22, 201214 yr Only issue I have is the fuel cutoff switches are untextured for some reason (using AWF VC texture upgrade). The LVD is just as outstanding in FSX as it is in FS9.... Al Stiff
May 23, 201214 yr Author It's worth every penny... The model looks better, but no major changes. DJ I have noticed while flying the FS9 version thay the instrument gets ovale in 2D which I suppose is because it's not adapted to widescreen monitors. Is that corrected in the FSX version? I have a slight memory that it even had some tillers implemented or am I mistaken here? I also have FS2CREW for LVD 767-300. I was annoyed over some incorrect procedures because of limitations in FS9. For example blink lights to perform pushback. You can't check rudders while taxieng as in real life. Is it better in fs2crew for FSX version of LVD 767-300?

There are widescreen user mods in the LevelD forums... there is no tiller. I don't use FS2Crew so can't answer that one... DJ
May 23, 201214 yr It's a great aircraft but needs an update... much like what PMDG is doing with their aircraft -- updating to the latest tech. Most of the overhead buttons work but some do not and they appear flattened and unrealistic instead of 3D as found in the i-Fly and PMDG aircraft (and others). It's still a great aircraft to fly occasionally. I do love the sounds, especially when dropping the landing gear. I had the FS9 version and really can't recall what it was about but I do know it was one of the really 'must have' aircraft when it was upgraded to the FSX version. Jim
May 24, 201214 yr The LVLd is brilliant, even after all these years!! As Jim said, it could do with a visual revamp. DIMITRI
May 24, 201214 yr +1 Can't say enough good things for the Level D. The FSX version has many improvements and you now get winglets like the real 67's I hope when Level D brings out the 757 the cockpit graphics will get a big upgrade too. Bob
