What are some good routes that were flown by J41's when they were in use in the US? I usually get my routes off of FlightAware or old jet routes off of old timetables, but I wouldn't know where to find old J41 routes.

Thanks,

I don't think the J41 was very popular in the US. I can't remember if major regional airlines flew it or not.

Look at a timetable from a virtual (or actual) airline and switch their prop aircraft with the J41. That's my only suggestion.

I put a whole bunch of stuff up in another thread on the same topic. If you run a search in this subforum, you should be able to find it. Atlantic Coast Airlines flew it extensively out of IAD. For what it's worth, you should use current routes with the old city pairs. You'll have better success. Otherwise, let me know when you find the Front Royal VOR

Additionally (and you might want to do this soon, poor CJC), Colgan Air flies a lot of shorter routes that would mimic J41 routes in their SF340s.

See above, but you're right, it's not like it was as popular as the Dash.

US Airways flew them. That or it was contracted out by a smaller regional airline. I'm Canadian so I'm lacking knowledge in the field of American aviation...

Honestly, I'd go on Airliners.net and search up photos of the J41. Just look at the locations the pictures were taken and you could probably figure out the hub with ease.

That or maybe Rob could have a say here...he used to fly them in the US.

EDIT: In a forum as untouched as the Turboprop forum, Kyle still posted a post 5 seconds earlier than I did :P

Haha. I have no life (okay, maybe I do, but I always have a computer around), and I love my J41.

Nice idea--this gave me a bunch of pictures to go off of.

I flew on United Express from Washington DC to State College on one

I meant actual airlines (Mesa, Republic, ACA) and not airlines that have contracts with regional airlines... but who cares?
