June 23, 201213 yr Author HDMI is a digital interface there is no varying degrees of picture quality depending on how much you pay for the cable, a £1 cable will display just as good a picture as a £100 cable. I bought a 5 metre HDMI cable from my local Sony centre for £20 and it was very well made and looks like it will last a very long time. Just avoid the cheap &@($* cables on Ebay which will probably fall to bits within 12 months and you should be OK. Don't pay more than £30 for a cable though, its a complete waste of money. Hi was looking on ebay just now it was like you read my mind . So i started to look for SONY HDMI Cable here is one i found take a look please let me know if this will do before i purchase it. June 24, 201213 yr Hi guys i do have to admit after reading some post about Track IR it is shame i haven't bought it yet. I really didn't have my mind on it since very one talks about new aircraft that will be soon out an stuff. But i always wonder how the got the camera to move so realistic like if they were in the pilot seat or something . But yet again i never ask . So help me out guys am here looking in ebay at to different track IR version , version 4 an version 5 . What is the difference between both of them in terms of fsx only because that is the only game i will be using it for . Someone said track Ir 5 is not that big a difference in fsx it is basically kind of the same. So can some give me some details . I mean i wouldn't want to buy version 5 if version 4 can do same movement an stuff as version 5 does . Some one also said the version 5 improves a lot for other games but for FSX it is the same as version 4. Here is what i got on ebay TrackIR 4 Pro Head Tracker Mouse + TrackClip Pro Optical System link -- http://www.ebay.com/...=item3f190f6a70 TrackIR 5 Premium Head Tracking for Gaming Hyper Accurate Link - http://www.ebay.com/...=item564a9667f8 Please let me know what you guys think about each one . Please describe also a little what each can do to help me pick out the one that i would like the most. I have used both.IR4 and 5 --Frankly , I have found it difficult to manage and control. The least movement is exagerated . One has to accept a fairly long learning curve. -- It IS a unique system , but it has also been one of the most frustrating piece of equipment I have ever purchased for FSX. I have solved the problem for myself by installing three monitors , upgrading my video card and power source. BEAUTIFUL !! --if not a bit expensive. I am a former pilot ,(many years ), and I have used flight simulation since almost the beginning.-- The multiple screen sysytem is "nearly" real. Highfly
June 24, 201213 yr I get all my cables from monoprice. If Bill is using a 30" monitor at 2560 x 1600 he is probably has it connected to a Dual link DVI-D cable. Unless his monitor has HDMI spec 1.4 it only goes up to 1080P for HDMI 1.3.

I see most user likes to used HDMI more than DVI i wonder what HDMI does to graphic . Does the graphic card likes running better with HDMI than DVI? I understand HDMI is HD graphic but does it only improve graphic or what else ? This will be my first time using HDMI. I have also herd that Track IR works perfectly with Ezdok Camera . I have Ezdok Camera many user said the Ezdok Camera + Track IR = the ice on the cake lol. I have watch several video people that found it hard at first to control the cameras turns an angle when making several movement in the cockpit. An most said what solve their problem was having the Ezdok camera with Track IR. Highfly have you try Ezdok Camera with Track IR ? June 24, 201213 yr I don't think there is a difference as far as graphics is concern. Dual link DVI-D is able to support higher resolutions than 1080P. HDMI carries audio and video and it is mostly use on home theater application. HDMI specification 1.3 does allow for higher resolutions that 1080P according to Wikipedia. So I the video card and monitor supports higher than 1080p thru the HDMI you can certainly go with that.
