Hi, after reinstalling fs9 on my new system I have noticed that my mouse cursor turns black when not pointing to clickable areas on my panels. Is there a way to fix this? It turns white (normal) when it finds a clickable spot on the panel.

A known issue when using FS9 in Windows 7. Someone might know a fix, I've just learned to live with it.

mouse works normally in "window mode", i guess you fly in full screen mode. Try "full screen window mode"

I can't remember exactly, but I think it has to do with the windows "Aero" themes that allow transparency for the desktop. You should try running FS9 with those disabled. Right click on the FS9 icon and go to Properties/Compatability, and check both "Disable Visual Themes" and "Disable Desktop Composition".

 

I have mine set up that way, but I did it a long time ago and am not sure for the exact reasons. Give it a try...

I've got the same problem/issue with Win 7 and a re-install of FS., Was going to 'live with it' but I've discovered it's only with some aircraft. No big issue, but I'm curious as to why. Interestingly (well to me anyway) is when I go to the task bar (in flight) for:  'Aircraft' 'World' etc..the screen goes black, when I get the panel back. the cursor is black..

Is it late to post my question here? What happen is from fs9 I get the same mouse issue as posted in this thread. Here my problem: I start fs9 in window mode the mouse is normal. But, in full window mode the mouse turns black. By right clicking the mouse becomes normal. Later, the mouse turns back to black. Does anybody experiencing this and what actions taken to correct it? Or, how to make the black mouse pointer to a different color?
