June 29, 201213 yr Well I have been signing into multiplayer sessions in Alaska and seeing no planes on the map, even though I am listed as sharing a session with other (apparently invisible) players. Well, I just tried the "view aircraft" command on one of those other players and found that they are in fact happily flying......... In Hawaii! Flight dutifully listed that player as being 2404nm away......... Interesting. We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically. June 29, 201213 yr You can try going to Hawaii with the cub as it can waterski. Maybe you can refuel it midflight. :D Alex Leung Aerospace Engineering Undergraduate Glider & Private Pilot via Royal Canadian Air Cadets
June 29, 201213 yr Author You can try going to Hawaii with the cub as it can waterski. Maybe you can refuel it midflight. :D Its still unclear to me whether flying between regions is allowed, though apparently planes in different regions can see each other and communicate. June 29, 201213 yr Only the F4U would have even a chance of making it between Hawaii and the Aleutians, and it would be marginal even in a super-lean very slow economy-cruise at high altitude. Assuming that the range given in the Marketplace stats is correct and reflects max-power low-altitude endurance like it does for the Maule.
June 29, 201213 yr Commercial Member Yeah most likely it is possible unless they added some kind of invisible wall there. After all Flight world is based on one from FSX with just most of the world in super low quality textures...
June 29, 201213 yr No walls. I flew the Maule 800 miles off the Hawaii Map already, to Johnston Atoll. Some people even flew all the way up to Midway!
July 1, 201213 yr Just exit Free Flight, refuel in the hangar and then go back into Free Flight to pick up where you left off with a full tank of fuel! Might be a bit boring though!

Opening the Map while beyond the area it covers moves you back into the Map area. Or, at least, it did prior to Alaska. I haven't tested it since.
