Hi,

I have a problem with the knobs on my MCP combo being overly sensative. Sometimes I'm turning the knob (even slowly) and it will jump 10 degrees...I try to turn back and it jumps five or fifteen. I've sometimes seen it jump 70 or 80 degrees with just a touch. Wondering if anyone else out there has had that problem and what they did about it.

Gregg,

Robert wants to know if you fixed your problem. Not sure how frequently you visit this forum and you may never see his question.

Best regards,

Jim

Um...not really. I'm kind of between two solutions. On the one hand, when I use the knobs with the normal LINDA settings, they do jump around a fair amount and I have to tweak back and forth until I get the correct value. On the other hand, I did borrow some settings from another aircraft and I got the skipping to, largely, stop but at the cost that the values change very slowly so you have to turn the knob quite a few times on large changes.

Thanks for answering this. I'm having some kind of issues with Linda 'stopping' during flight and I constantly need to re-start her. This is consuming MASSIVE amounts of my time... and darned if I can figure out what's going on. I have 3 pieces of VRinsight hardware, (V737 Overhead, MCP Combo II (Boeing) and CDU-II FMC) plus the dual control Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog Joystick/Throttle pair. I have tried almost everything and CAN NOT solve it... it's insane. last night Linda stopped working when I panned around in a rapid circle external view using the hat switch on my Joystick... That hat switch does NOT transmit to Linda (AFAIK) so why would she stop working? All I can 'guess at' is Linda is constantly searching for new devices that may have been added to the system (?) -- or else she is being overwhelmed with DATA from some source but no clue how to troubleshoot it. Artem Crum (programmer of Linda) is away on holidays... ugh.

LINDA does see HAT switches, I have 3 out of 4 on my Warthog joystick alone assigned through LINDA. I don't use the throttle quadrant though, that's in the box..

Cheers, Andy.
