July 12, 201213 yr Hello, I've got a small issue regarding voice control. Whenever I tell the FO to arm LNAV (select lnav) he understands it as 'select N1. Already tried it with different accents and I ran the speech recognition training 2 times and added 'select lnav' to the dictionary in windows but still no luck. What else could I try to get this command right? Regards Max

July 15, 201213 yr Commercial Member Hi Max, Thanks. Please use the method to train specific words: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/372413-the-new-way-to-train-the-speech-recognizer-for-specific-words-like-auto/ Cheers, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
July 16, 201213 yr Author Thanks, but I already tried this method and it still doesn't work :/ I ran the speech recognition training another 2 times, nothing seems to change this issue. It always reads lnav as n1.. Every other command (as far as I've seen) works ok, except also when I want to say 'xxxx kilograms, pumps on' while performing the before start checklist. The software understands the word 'kilograms' and every number that I spell, but not both at the same time although I put them well spaced in timing. regards Max
July 17, 201213 yr Commercial Member Hi Max, Hmmm... just try saying 'kilograms' separately in that case. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
January 7, 201313 yr OS:Windows7 64bit professional... Attemping to run FS2Crews for PMDG 737NGX and PMDG J4100... The problem is this: When I attempt to configure for speech recognition I receive the following error message which I have by the way, seen similar problem "all over the internet" using a search engine. "Speech Recognition could not start because the language configuration is not supported." The recognizer language must match the language of the user interface. Please change the recognizer language in the Speech Recognition control panel under Advanced Options. (OK) I have opened "Advanced speech options.... Speech Properties....Speech Recognition...Language"Microsoft Speech Recognizer 8.0 for Windows (English-US) Recognition Profiles (X)Robert J4100 "I have read through the speech tutorial probably 5 or 6 times... That section works. USER Settings unchecked "Run Speech Recognition at startup" Unchecked "Review documents and mail to improve accuracy Checked "Enable voice activation" I assume you leave this box checked. The settings on the Speech Properties are setup just like the manual for fs2crews PMDG J41 Voice Version 1.02 page 9... What I need is a serious solution from someone who understands this problem from Windows7 prospective....Some people have advised changing some registery settings, which I did, that didn't work...So any computer person, can you help? January 7, 201313 yr Commercial Member Some people have advised changing some registery settings, which I did, That scares me You're an American, so your speech Recognizer will by default be set to English - US. All you should need to do is run the voice training. It sounds like your system has problems. Did you run a program called "System Mechanic" by chance? B. It sounds like your system has problems. Did you run a program called "System Mechanic" by chance? I run "System Mechanic" on all my computer systems...I also was able to run voice training, and works with "wordpad"...However when attempting to set up for fs2crews then the message box appears: "Speech Recognition could not start because the language configuration is not supported." The recognizer language must match the language of the user interface. Please change the recognizer language in the Speech Recognition control panel under Advanced Options. (OK) I understand that Windows7 had issues with Speech Recognition on some systems...I was using Windows7 professional version.. I just upgraded to Windows8 professional and haven't attempted to use FS2Crews for the Jetstream series 4100 and the 737ngx....But at least the Speech Recognition panel is open at the top...Now, I will have to find a tutorial on how to use fs2crews with windows8...At least I haven't received any error messages after upgrading... January 9, 201313 yr Commercial Member Bob, Whatever you do, do "not" run "system mechanic" on Windows 8. It's known to damage Speech Recognition and 3rd party integration with SAPI. They even acknowledge the issue. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
