I know this question has probably been asked a million times now, but from past experience, what do you think it better?

I currently own REX 2.0 (I'm getting Essentials tomorrow when I have the time) and I'm also thinking of buying ActiveSky 2012. The problem I find with REX is that it takes absolutely ages to install textures, and this really gets on my nerves.

I've heard that AS' weather and clouds is better/more realistic but I've also heard that REX has better textures. So what do people do, use both?

Any past experience, I really want to hear some!!

I know this question has probably been asked a million times now, ...

Looks like you've missed this thread

The last thread on this topic is just one click away, on the same page. So, yes, it has been asked before. ^_^

With REX, the loading times on the textures only take long when your options command that it should replace all of them. If it's just about the weather related textures, uncheck the rest and leave the clouds on. Will be much, much faster and REX-E is even better.

I can't comment on AS2012, but, as said, the other threads aren't far away and haven't lost their current information yet. The mods surely applaud to each one actually using the forum search I guess. :P

Edited. As Jean-Paul says.
