Thai Creations & AES

Featured Replies

I don't use AES myself, but I know that a lot of you chaps do, so I thought I'd pass on the news that Thai Creations have said that Macau for FS9 (and even the tweaker's sim) will shortly be available. Maybe this means that they'll do the others too, but I don't know about that.

Thanks for the news, Gavin! :clapping:

I do use AES on a regular basis as an essential part of my flightsim operations.

So this is great news to me. I would love to have Paro and Kathmandu AESed.

I hope all other airports of him will be supported with AES too. They are great...but not quite FPS friendly to average computer systems....

/Thanks for the news

There is a fanatastic freeware VTSP Phuket which has AES support for those who like to fly in Thailand. There's an equally excellent Chiang Mai that isn't AES supported unfortunately... Both are payware quality

Thanks Ian, I'll check them out. I'm in a bit of an Asian mood as tomorrow the wife and I fly out to Singapore/Malaysia for our summer hols. Important details: LOT Emb 175 to Frankfurt, SA B773 to WSSS. Air Asia A320 KL to Penang. Back same lines and equipment, but VIA EHAM.

Can't wait :-)

Have great holidays, Gavin!

BTW Three different aircraft manufacturers in one trip, lucky you. Big%20Grin.gif

Happy holidays, Gavin... but don't forget your beer today.

You'll love Penang. Had a great time there back in the day...

Cheers, SLuggy

Thanks guys, three different aircraft types, three different airlines, two different countries. And best of all - Asian food - my true love (the wife understands and shares my passion).

I should be able to find time for a cold one today. It usually takes me about 15 mins to pack, but for 'er indoors, several hours of mayhem. I'll sneak out ;-)

Have a great time Gavin. Just don't do what I did, the last time I was in Penang. I managed to leave my passport behind at the hotel. Fortunately, there was enough time for the hotel to send it out to the airport via a taxi, but it was a bit nerve-wracking....

Cheers

Ian

I love Malaysia. Air Asia X (which is sadly not serving us here in Europe any longer) took us to KL and we took two internal flights with Air Asia and they were great. Certainly better than a certain budget airline with a harp on the tail nearer home ;). The landing in KL in the A340 was the smoothest I've ever felt - he just greased it on. Had it not been for the thrust reverse you'd barely be able to tell we'd landed.

The only scenery I have in Asia is FT Kai Tak. Apart from Macau, are there any good add-on airports that are within say an hour's flying time of Hong Kong?

Thai Creations Hanoi is pretty good. When I landed there in real life, I was surprised how much the real airport resembled my FS9 version ;-)
