Slightly blurred textures

http://nvidia-inspec...4d.com/download just do a search on the frum for the best settings and then completely forget about your Nvidia control panel. BTW, I see you have bilinear filtering??This could be a problem, have you tried running filtering at anistropic? I small performance hit but better quality. Also untick AA in FSX and let Inspector take control.

Wow, I tried it and it's worked! (Anistropic Filtering). But I will give the Inspector a look at. Thanks for everyone and yourselves help!

Yes, you should definetly use nvidia inspector to control your graphics. Here is the topic that really helped me set up http://www.simforums...topic36586.html

I just done all of that and it's made it perfect! Thank you! Also not really any performance loss. 25FPS in the VC, 40-60FPS Exterior, not bad for a Laptop!

Okay I tempted faith. Not sure what's going on, it's going smooth in the VC at 20-25 then drops to 9 for a few seconds?

I'm pleased you have the textures sorted. As for the frame drop, that could be due to a number of things. Does this happen during real weather flying? if not, then check your background programs such as AV and Windows update or Windows restore. I have each of these turned off during flying and also anything else that automatically updates, such as Malwarebytes etc.

En-route to EGSS at the moment and all is smooth. Done some tests prior and all seem brilliant! Probably just a blip with my Laptop last night causing it to drop in FPS. Thank you for your help and everyone else!

Luke, just curious, what laptop do you have? AlienWare?

ASUS N53SM. It's been customised I got from a website that I can't remember right now!! But it's great.

i7 2.2GHz up to 3.1GHz but only get up to 2.9 in FSX but works fine

8GB DDR3 Ram

Nvidia GT630M 2GB + Nvidia 3000

640GB HDD

Win 7 64bit

I got an HP at first but the build quality was awful, plus I had a crap graphics card by AMD in there that kept messing up so got a refund. ASUS & Nvidia have been amazing and not looked back, what makes it better is the design is this material that doesn't allow it to get hot at all. You only feel heat from the fan when I'm on high performance, put hand under the fan it's not hot! It was $900 or so when I got it a few months ago. I needed portability with power so that's why I got it and not a desktop.

If you get Inspector set up, ensure you hand over Anistropic filtering to FSX, the quality reduction IMO is barely noticeable, but you will help enormously with blurries and texture loading.

How do you use a yoke with a laptop? Or do you use a joystick?

I use a thrustmaster Joystick. Nothing special! I personally like the throttle part of it.

Yeah I've got that in the screen shot :)

I've tweaked my FSX quite a bit. Got the settings right after a lot of trial and error. The only add on Airport I have is EGLL, the rest I'm not fussed about. It's about the Aircraft to me! I hear AI Traffic takes up a lot of FPS.

I get lower FPS in older products. LDS 767 I get 20FPS in the flight deck, NGX I get 25-30 when moving about. When still sometimes hits 30/40!

I'll let you know later if my 2-D is the same, I don't use it so not sure. First I must go do some flying! (real world :P)
