July 21, 201213 yr Author Ok it is probably ai and the fsdreamteam klax. Yeah I drop a little when I tried LHR with the NGX. Not too bad. Never hurts to play around with some settings. - Luke Pabari
July 21, 201213 yr Nice Luke! :D and sorry for hijacking this thread,I follow the guide using the Nvidia Inspector and my VC get more clear and not blurry but the 2D cockpit is blurry it is supposed to look like this ? I am fairly sure you are experiencing this because of the transparency anti-aliasing. This is because, when in 2D, the entire 2D panel is treated as a texture - which subsequently blurs some of the image. If you spend most of your time, you may want to remove transparency anti-aliasing, or turning it down a notch or two, which will make the 2D panel sharper. Yeah I drop a little when I tried LHR with the NGX. Not too bad. Never hurts to play around with some settings. It's very difficult to regain the FPS in places like London and New York due to the "extra" scenery Microsoft put in. The only thing I've noticed increasing my FPS around LHR is to not have the water shader on 2x. Try running it on 1x high, if you're not already, and see if that changes anything. Luke Harvest

I'm using UK2000 EGLL V2 so that's what drops my FPS. I have my water on 1x low I think ha! - Luke Pabari
July 24, 201213 yr Author That laptop must run very hot? I've never taken note of the CPU temperature but I will when I next go on. My laptop has this new material/design which doesn't allow anything but the fan to get hot. While I'm on FSX if you put your hand under my laptop on the fan it will be warm that's it. Has a brilliant cooling system! That's one of the main reasons I went Asus as it was built for gaming/editing etc! - Luke Pabari

July 26, 201213 yr ASUS N53SM. It's been customised I got from a website that I can't remember right now!! But it's great. i7 2.2GHz up to 3.1GHz but only get up to 2.9 in FSX but works fine 8GB DDR3 Ram Nvidia GT630M 2GB + Nvidia 3000 640GB HDD Win 7 64bit I got an HP at first but the build quality was awful, plus I had a crap graphics card by AMD in there that kept messing up so got a refund. ASUS & Nvidia have been amazing and not looked back, what makes it better is the design is this material that doesn't allow it to get hot at all. You only feel heat from the fan when I'm on high performance, put hand under the fan it's not hot! It was $900 or so when I got it a few months ago. I needed portability with power so that's why I got it and not a desktop. I'm pretty sure my specs are almost the same as yours but my frames are probably half of what youre getting. Have you "overclocked" it, or made any other adjustments? Mitch Brown Private Pilot | Aerospace Engineering Major

No my Processor goes to 2.9GHz when in FSX. It can go up to 3.1 but doesn't for FSX. I've tweaked my cfg using some website Ryan posted. Also changed my settings in Nvidia Inspector. My FSX settings are probably overall medium. It took me a while to get them perfect for my PC. I could send my CFG over if you'd like to try it out. I've basically edited it to give the Aircraft the most performance and not so much Scenery & Weather. I don't use REX or anything also. - Luke Pabari
August 8, 201213 yr Sorry for this semi necro post, but I do remember Luke's original pictures. I had this same issue today and I found the cure to my problem: Inside FSX, my screen resolution was not set to it's native size. Once I changed that, everything looked normal. Posting just in case others have a similar issue. "I am the Master of the Fist!" -Akuma

I played around with that too and didn't get any luck. Glad it worked for you! - Luke Pabari
