July 17, 201213 yr We all know that there are a lot of posts on this topic. Is there a website which would provide SID/STAR for India? FlightAware.com is only for US inbound/outbound flights. The RouteFinder.com website does not give the SID/STAR info. It just gives the data between the SID and the STAR. Does Navigraph.com cover India? I'm able to understand the SID portion of it as I can select each one of them for a runway and see on the ND it's route. But STAR is a problem as we can't see it at the origin airport. We have to program it just before T/D ie., towards the end of the flight. I'm new to PMDG (just a week old) and yesterday I flew from Mumbai to Delhi (VABB - VIDP) . The STAR took me on a serpentine route around the city and finally vectored me onto the runway. It's almost guess work in deciding the STAR and/or transitions during final approach. The FMC on its part gives all sorts of errors like "Discontinuity" and what not which is a zillion times frustrating. Could someone please suggest a good approach to execute a good approach to the runway? Thanx Sanjay D.

July 17, 201213 yr Author Hi, On this website, I could not download and on Aircharts I could not get anything for Delhi. Are there any other websites? Thanks Sanjay D I meant that I could not download any on this website http://www.edi-gla.co.uk/fpl/index.php Sanjay
July 18, 201213 yr Sanjay, Navigraph is not a chart system. They provide AIRAC updates for the FMC. It covers the entire world. i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB
July 18, 201213 yr Hey Sanjay, though I do not know of a website that provides SID/STARs for India, usually a simple Google search can provide you with .pdf's for them. For instance, for Dehli's VIDP, I typed in Google "VIDP charts", and my first result was this link, which has all of the SID/STAR's, and approaches: http://liswww.limewe.../vidp delhi.pdf Similarly, for Mumbai's VABB, I typed "VABB charts", and got this .pdf: http://liswww.limewe...vabb mumbai.pdf I know this does not count as an all-inclusive website, but it is a good first step. I will say though it may be difficult to find more regional airports, but I would say the top 10 airports in terms of aircraft movements/passenger movements will be available somewhere with the Google search. As for the discontinuities, just clean them up on the "Legs" page after you've entered your plan. They happen and are easily fixed, just take a look at your charts and rearrange/eliminate the discontinuities in a way that makes a sensible flight path. Hope this helps. Regards,Kyle
July 18, 201213 yr Navigraph has both charts VIDP and VABB in their nDAC 3.0 -system Robert Reitmaier __________________________________________________
July 18, 201213 yr Sanjay, Navigraph is not a chart system. They provide AIRAC updates for the FMC. It covers the entire world. Not true. I use their nDAC 3 software to download their charts and save them as I need them. It is very good, very quick and very cheap to do. Look into it. I can also use it to download enroute charts. Pretty much all of the worlds major airports are covered. The airac is just another part of the service. Regards 5800X3D - Strix X570-E - 32GB 3600Mhz DDR4 - AMD RX 9070 XT- Samsung 980 Pro x2

July 18, 201213 yr Are you finding SID/STAR charts or just flight plans? There is a official India eAIP website: http://www.aai.aero/public_notices/aaisite_test/eAIP/Home_india_01.html I searched "india aip" and got this site as the second result. Many countries offer free aip services on the web. David Chen
July 20, 201213 yr Author Thanks Kyle. I finally used the VIDP STAR info and landed professionally @ VIDP !!. Without these charts it's very difficult. Ofcourse the FMC places a lot more fixes by default. I deleted them and just used the one on the PDF file and it worked perfectly.

July 23, 201213 yr I wrote a small tutorial on SID/STARs how to select which one! http://forum.avsim.n...e/#entry2424696 Not true. But I wouldn't pay for the aerodrome charts, when you could just get them off Google. I get 90% of my Flight Plans from here now - http://www.edi-gla.co.uk/fpl/index.php This is a really great website for RW flightplans. Although if your flying across the pond use these: flightaware.com flightwise.com To get current flightplans as the NATs change daily. If you can't find anything in either of them just use this: rfinder.asalink.net/free/ Dev Singh
