Saitek combat pedals always braking.

Featured Replies

Having been persuaded by Flight to finally invest in pedals only to see Flight bite the dust, am now getting used to FSX again.

Only to find my pedals seem to be permanently braking and I have to activate the toe brakes to release them, no matter if I have the 'reverse' box checked in controller options.

Any fix for this?

On a separate note, they don't seem to influence the flight much although they direct the plane fine on the ground. Was that one thing Flight just modeled better?

You need to "reverse" (there is a tick box) both toe brake axis in the FSX controls menu, I cant remember the exact location anymore as its been years since I assigned anything in FSX itself, I personally use FSUIPC to setup all my control hardware.

I've already checked those, doesn't seem to make any difference...

You aren't doing it properly then as that is the fix I can assure you. Make sure you have selected the pedals from the device list and not some other device by mistake.

Cheers, Andy.

I concur: you must reverse both toe brake axes via the FSX controls options. Only way to solve it. If you're unsure on how to this, you can also consult the pedals' manual. I don't have the combat pedals, but I know that the "normal" pedals have a fairly clear manual with good instructions on how to do this.

I had the same problem when I set up my Combat Rudder Pedals.

Solution was to bump the toe brake sensitivity up full right in FSX and now they work like a dream.

Give that a go.

Thanks Ant, that was the key and all working fine now. Although the rudder still seems to have little effect on the flight dynamics...
