the ultimate DLC ?

Featured Replies

hi, long time lurker here.

flight didnt do it for me as im fsx 'old school' but with its demise, if they could only release an 'unlocked game' as DLC which would enable me to add scenery and aircraft from fsx, i would jump at that!

then there is the sp3 for fsx, if that was adapted for flight including a weather system and AI, im sure that would bring in substantial much needed revenue! lol

just wishful thinking from me alas...just seems a real shame with so much 'good stuff' sitting on a MS shelf and where they could grab a few quid and extend flights life for 5 years.

who knows.....during that time they might fancy another venture in fs sim??

regards,

jim.

I can't think of any good reason for them to do any of that.

Which does not mean they wont. The world is an unpredictable place, and Microsoft's path with Flight has not shown a surplus of logic.

My own instinct is that unless they dump the code on somebody (Lm?) or something, the only likely spot to see any Flight assets again will be on the next Xbox.

I fully expect the Flight code and art assets to be held onto and archived "as is" in case MS ever want to use them as the basis for a future project. If there is no future project, no one will never see them again.

Kind of funny...makes me wonder how long Flight has been in the preverbial warehouse...

Microsoft: "We have top men working on Flight right now..."

Community: "Who?"

Microsoft: "Top...men."

If only the guys from Android could contract the FLIGHT Team.... And partner with Google, and turn the world of flight simulation and 2012/2013 to a Great Era!!!!

FSX & FLIGHT are already gathering Cobwebs, and are already way "out of date" as far as computer gaming technology is concerned.

Who, in their right mind, would want to us them years from now, as a basis for a new project. ?

So, how is the 20 year old basis of that OS kernal you are running doing?

That's the best sleep-over airport I have seen in recent years! I would like to reserve N205L, right seat, for two nights from Aug 11 -13.
