As the title I would ask please if NGX will benefit somehow from some features that will be introduced with 777.

Thx in advance

Yep, RSR stated that multiple times in his update topics.

ACARS, EFB, RTA function, I hope all of those things.

I don't know what RTA is, but EFB and ACARS are highly unlikely to appear on the NGX. The 777 won't have ACARS so the NGX definitely wont.

Thanks for the answers.

It would be nice to have also some official ones, just to be sure.

Thx

The thing is, how can you have ACARS on the 777 or the NGX? It's not like there's anyone there to send you the messages.

Is RTA required time of arrival? How does that work? I'm unfamiliar with that.

Basically with RTA you set the time you need to be at a waypoint and the aircraft will adjust speed accordingly.

Pretty fancy but complex stuff.

True but there's other features of ACARS which would be pretty neat. Weather reports, winds data (so you won't have to manually enter it waypoint by waypoint) etc.

Ahh okay, thanks. Do you know how it works in the real world?

Oh well.

There could be, if you fly online and the controller is supporting Hoppies ACARS. In that case, ACARS can be used for its data link feature and can be used for stuff like clearance and position reports,

Woah, that's asking for wayyy too much realism.

And where are you getting this information? It's safe to assume that ACARS won't be simulated, but there's been whisperings of EFB simulationg for a while. When stating conjecture, I try to refrain from presenting it as fact.
