Looking for airplane capable of transatlantic flights

Featured Replies

Hello.

I've been flying the PMDG 737NGX for a while now and I would like to try out flying transatlantic. What would be the best plane addon in terms of quality to do this?

PMDG 747 or PMDG MD-11. Also Level D 767 is good too if lack of eye candy doesn't bother you.

The 737NG's are ETOPS qualified, so can be used on Transatlantic flights itself. Set the ETOPS options in the PMDG options and your good to go! (Although currently I don't see any real world flights)

Thanks

I have flown the PMDG MD-11 a lot and it is an excellent aircraft, but I will soon be very likely replacing it with PMDG's 777 when it comes out. I would also say it depends on what level of automation you like in your aircraft. The MD-11 is VERY automated. But once you get past the learnng curve it is a pleasure to fly..

PMDG 747 and MD11 are the most sophisticated that come to mind. Though if you're willing to wait, they are working on a 747 v2, and a 777 of course.

There are many other aircraft out there from other developers that would fit the bill, but none that would match the PMDG quality that you're used to.

PMDG 747. LevelD 767. PMDG 777. QualityWings 757.
