Random mini-stutters

Featured Replies

I've been lately getting some random mini-freezes while flying. Nothing seriously impacting my use of FSX or the NGX, but it's pretty annoying. Almost rhythmically every couple minutes, the program will freeze for a second or two, then pick up where it should be, causing a slight gap in being able to use the program. This has also just started happening recently, not sure what I changed to make it start doing that, but if anyone has any advice as to how to attempt to fix this issue, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I had the same, for me, the reason was boat and road traffic, fsx would have to re-create the traffic every couple of minutes and this caused the stutters. I moved the sliders to zero and the problem went away.

Others that have had this situation have related it to FSUIPC auto backups. Check to make sure that is turned off in FSUIPC if you have it.

Hah! Of course. Maybe I'll try not doing minutely backups. I *did* just buy FSUIPC and set up auto updates, so that must be it. Thanks again everyone.

Hi all,

Happened to me too, seemed to be performance related, giving the fsx.cfg file a good polish on Venetubo (don't know the site but comes up of you google it) sorted it out

Hope it helps,Matteo Capocefalo MED1473
