  1. Hmm...I disabled FSX using my controller and set it up with FSUIPC, but I'm still getting it to drop out...any ideas?
  2. Recently upgraded from Windows 7 to 8 (reinstall), after going through the entire FSX install, along with all the addons, PMDG and the SP1c update, I get to the activation point, put in the code, click activate, and after about 30s to 1m of freezing, an error pops up stating this: http://i.imgur.com/5pYDr6X.png Known issue? Servers just down? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  3. Hah! Of course. Maybe I'll try not doing minutely backups. I *did* just buy FSUIPC and set up auto updates, so that must be it. Thanks again everyone.
  4. I've been lately getting some random mini-freezes while flying. Nothing seriously impacting my use of FSX or the NGX, but it's pretty annoying. Almost rhythmically every couple minutes, the program will freeze for a second or two, then pick up where it should be, causing a slight gap in being able to use the program. This has also just started happening recently, not sure what I changed to make it start doing that, but if anyone has any advice as to how to attempt to fix this issue, I'd greatly appreciate it.
  5. I'm in mid-flight...is there a way to force a texture refresh without reloading the game?
  6. I've seen this happen a few times, where I'll be in a flight, check on it a few minutes later and something that looks like ice build-up is on the engine, as shown here: http://www.berzerk.i...06-11-06-51.png I have the Anti-Ice on always below +10C, so I don't see how something like this could happen. Is there something else I'm missing? Graphical glitch? The engines are fully working the entire time (although I do have failures turned off).
  7. I still can't download flight plan rte's from the site. Just says "oops an error has occurred."
  8. Sorry to bring this back up, but I have been having some trouble with autopilot not being able to engage, for one reason or another, and it turns out the plane recognized it as a failure, (and if you have all failures turned off...this can come as a surprise to you not realizing it's recognized as such) so to fix it you can go into PMDG Setup > Aircraft > Failures. It should say Active: 1, hit LSK1, then "clear all" and that should bring bring CMD A/B back online.
  9. Makes sense, I do have an nvidia card. I've never tried the FS > window change to fix, but I also play in windowed mode, so I'm not sure that would help. This UIAnimationCore.dll fix seems to be working so far, I just hope I didn't jinx it. Thanks again guys.
  10. Not sure if anyone's noticed this, but there are some misaligned localizers at various airports, the ones that I've seen so far are Runway 22R at JFK Airport in New York (KJFK) and Runway 36 at Naha Airport in Okinawa, Japan (ROAH) Here: http://berz.me/pics/...21-22-04-16.png , and here http://berz.me/pics/...21-22-04-53.png you can see the plane coming in for a misaligned landing. Doing the autoland, the airplane will follow the localizer according to how it is programmed incorrectly, running straight into where it's shown in ADE as the stock airport. As you can see here (http://berz.me/pics/...21-22-04-30.png) on the plane's map, the runway is also misaligned with the planned ILS trajectory outlined by the FMC. I assume that moving the localizer to the end of the runway (as seen here: http://berz.me/pics/...21-22-04-36.png in ADE), rather than next to it is the fix, however, when I compile it and place it in add-on scenery, the localizer and glide slope no longer work at all, the plane won't pick up the signal. Is there something else that needs to be done, other than changing the heading/positioning of the localizer? Or am I on the completely wrong path and should I be doing something else to fix it? Thanks for any help.
  11. Alright, thanks a lot guys, I'll see if this gets it working.
  12. Does this ever happen to anyone: http://www.berz.me/pics/20120419-21-04-05.png ? If so, how does one fix it (besides reloading the game, if there are ways)
