A Good Track IR 5 profile?

Featured Replies

I'm using the same profile for FSX, "Seth - Flight" but it doesn't work great for XP... in fact I think I'm missing a few degrees of freedom... how many does XP support and is there a freeware plugin I need?

Unfortunately, I don't think XP pays attention to the TIR profiles and uses its own system. It's different on every plane, too, so I assume how TIR moves is embedded in the plane's configuration somewhere. I'd love to be corrected, though.

( It's one of my bigger sore spots with XP as I cannot stand how TIR behaves under it. It's not only so sensitive that just by slouching and straightening an inch I go for a perfect position to completely outside of the airplane, it also does not turn well, either. Turning in many planes feels more like you're giving a command to look left or right and the camera then pivots and actually moves its position, too, creating very awkward feelings. )

Mmmmm, not the answer I was hoping for but thanks for being honest...

I just simply use the default profile with precision mode activated.

Thanks,

I actually like TIR in x-plane much more than in FSX.

I don't hehe... unless I'm missing something. It's far too sensitive, and you can't really tilt your view down...

I'll try precision mode though.

You can try my TIR profile, it is based on my FSX one that was based on Seth's:

I can tell XP-10 adds it's own level of "smoothing" but otherwise this works good for me for now, I still need to learn how to use those new EZDOK like view hotkeys that were added in the recent betas.
