Request a Hold and return to a departure airport
Bugor replied to Bugor's topic in Pilot2ATC Users Forum
OK. Thanks for the fast response! -
I'm wondering if it's possible to do the following with the latest version: Scenario: In some time after departure you get an aircraft failure. You want to enter a hold to work out the relevant checklists. Is it possible to request ATC to enter such a hold? Next, while still in the hold (or maybe during a flight - doesn't matter), you decide that you need to return to the departure airport. No need for declaring emergency. Is it possible?

I would suggest that you run the Indexer that is one of the programs in the VoxATC package. I believe it should fix it.

Gridley, thank you for the screenshot. Very helpful. In my case the Recent Comm panel is just blank with white background. B757, thanks for the detailed response! I used to use VoxAtc back in 2011-2012. Then, I had to pause this hobby and now I'm trying to get back. At that time I had more critical bugs (like when ATC just forget about you during a long flight, etc). But I don't think there is anything better on the market now. Pilot2Atc looks very promising and in active development, so hopefully it will get better than VoxAtc at some point...

Thanks for the reply! Can you please give some more details on the "several flaws" that you have mentioned in your post? It looks like I won't be able to evaluate it myself as the demo has expired.
-
Hi, I installed the latest version (7.41) for Prepar3D v4 for evaluation (that was the first time installation) and the Recent Comms panel was not working. It showed up, but it was just always blank (white). I have reinstalled the VoxAtc to if it helps and now my demo says that it's expired (I was using it just 2 days). Emailed support, but no reply so far. Now I'm wondering does anybody have this Recent Comm panel working? I'm now thinking maybe it's not functional at all and nobody just cares about it... But for me it's going to be a deal breaker as it won't be possible to verify clearance instructions, frequencies, etc... How do you guys deal with this problem? Or maybe the panel is just working fine for everybody except me...

OK, that is still the old info. As I understand, there is still no evidence that PMDG is doing their 747 for X-Plane...

Why do you think they doing 747 for X-Plane? Last time I checked they were "investigating the possibility" and did not mention the possible aircraft that they were considering to convert. Is there a new info that I missed? Thanks.

A Good Track IR 5 profile?
Bugor replied to ryanbatc's topic in The X-Plane General Discussions Forum
I actually like TIR in x-plane much more than in FSX. -
Thank you Aaron and Tom for the info. The importance of the ATC and AI for flying airliners was discussed here so many times... Hopefully, someone at LR will be able to persuade Austin to continue working on it... :-) I suspect, that his opinion is to use those online ATCs. Yes, they are good and realistic in many aspects, but at the same time they are not an option for me and for many other (if not the most) people for many good reasons. Thanks again.
