August 25, 201213 yr Actually I have never "advocated" as you put it stopping at or after Vr. My intention was to highlight that In some cases where the rwys "outstrip" the a/c performance and the a/c performance itself is such that Vr is rapidly achieved , it is technically possible to stop. However receiving a call from the wife between V1 and Vr announcing her desire to divorce is a definate GO! If you have "never" advocated pilots should consider aborting at or after Vr, then what difference does it make that it is "technically possible to stop"?
