Pmdg 737ngx Cabin Temprature/Altitude Preassurization

Featured Replies

Hello Everyone ,

I recently purchased PMDG 737NGX and used the deafault panel states meaning i never started the aircraft up my self . But then i what fun and learning would i experience if i didnt start it up my self? .

From then onwards I have learned and been following Checklists for this aircraft to start the aircraft up. All is going well and i understand it thorougly . The checklist states that once we start to approach the hold short position just off the runways we turn the apu bleed off and set the packs to auto and the isolation valve to auto . All seem's fine untill i reach 10mins in flight. The alltitude i selected on the crusing and landing panel says auto-fail with a beeping sound. Normal procedures say we have to turn the apu bleeds back on and that is what i did . It returned and the procedures say if the crusing altitude selector comes back on aswel as landing you can turn the apu bleeds back off . I did and the same problme happened just as before i repeated the procedure and this time if i put the apu on it would not appear . Please share your thought and experiences with me so i can finally fix this problme =) -- thankyou

Sounds like you're not setting the panel up correctly. Are you just leaving set at 10000 and forgetting it?

I set it according to my flight plan which was 32000 ft

Hard to say without seeing a screen shot. I've never had that happen myself.

A checklist is not limited to "switch it on, switch it off" If you are in troubles check the values.

The bleed system uses a gauge with 2 pointers (left and right) Make sure that engine bleeds are supplying pressure to both systems.

If engines are supplying bleeds, the problem is in the pressurization.

First of all, you must check that control panel is set to AUTO.

Second, if AUTO FAIL appears (master caution also on) check if it comes before or after the pressurization warning.

If it is after the pressurization warning, that is normal, the controller will tell you that it is unable to save you.

If the AUTO FAIL comes on before press. warning you have a problem, assuming there is no fault (check failures in FMC) you are climbing with no packs or no bleeds too fast and the controller is unable to mantain a good cabin rate.

This could happen often if you climb fast with a wrong (very low) set cruise altitude on the press.panel.

I think in this case your problem are the engine bleeds left off

Its working now that ive turned the apu bleed switch off and the apu bleeds switches for 1 and 2 on . thanks Andrea Daviero and Randy Swofford

are the engine bleeds on?

That is corerct - engine bleeds 1 and 2 must be on

There is no need to switch off the Engine 1 and 2 Bleeds, always keep the engine Bleed switches in the ON position. Only when there is a bleed failure and it is required to isolate the problem by switching OFF one of the engine bleed switches. Otherwise always keep the Engine Bleed Switches in the ON position even with the engines shutdown.

Hello Everyone ,

What checklist says to do that?
