I getting during my default flight with default Cessna 172 Like? Error window sounds pam Ping,every 10 seconds or so;

What could this be?

I know this might sound stupid, but check all your Drivers are up to date, and that everything else is closed that you don't need running before you start running FSx.

No it's was more like a windows error bells,like when you press the wrong keys?

It started while I was changing windows with my hat switch,or opened another window,like GPS.

Still experimenting...But enough for today.

Anyway, check your fsuipc log if you get those "windows bells" again, and it will tell you if you did get an OOM warning.

What Julian said is the most likely culprit. Neat little feature that is, and the auto save too! No more long hauls down the drain....

Do you have EZCA? If so, I'm guessing you pressed the 2 key on the numpad

I have no idea why you googled, as the link you posted is the link I posted <sigh>

To check the log, go to your fsx/modules folder and look for fsuipc.log, and open in notepad. The best time to check, is after you hear the chime. The log captures your last session only.

I used to have AlacrityPC,which PaulJ helped me install in my old rig. But now I have no idea how to install it and configure it,and he hasn't replied any of my calls for help...I se there are two Warnings for Low Memory. I thought this machine with 3GB'S could handle it better that my old one?

Those messages are accompanied by error dings or whatever your windows is set to sound. It signals a possible impending OOM crash.

 

If you don't want the warnings simply change "OOMcheck=Yes" to "OOMcheck=No" in the FSUIPC4.INI file. For most they are useful as often saving a flight then will recover some memory and allow you to continue.

FSX is limited to 4Gb including the operating system and all the drivers and so forth. If you've only got 3Gb in your system it's probably down to 2 Gb for FSX. Complex scenery and so on will aggravate OOM possibilities.

Ok, seems it is OOM's you are experiencing. You have very low Video memory, and that is where your problem may be. You will need to lower your display settings even lower to avoid the OOM's. But that is no guarantee, i'm afraid.

In my windows setting I probably have a sound bell set up to sound when messages com into my in-box, Having had all these helpful replies lately, Also while simming Made me wonder what it was?

 

Now I was in the middle of a Skype call when the ding-dong sounded again I checked my task bar and a message had come in, Making me conclude that the sound is not actually an OOM message alarm but an e-mai that has just come in. The sim performs perfectly, now afer I found a good FSX.cfg,by Paul J that has helped me with the Long start up issue.

I have locked FPS at 20 in my FSX.cfg,with my complex scenery settings I get 19.8-20 FPS and smooth flying, even with complex Addons like Eaglesoft Cit.ll SPX; With Default Cessna 172 and loading to my default flight it just took 1 min.20secs.I have changes the "No" To a "Yes" again in the FSUIPC Log to let it do its' job.

I'm experiencing the same problem, just my unregistered FSUIPC doesn't have the "WARING: FREE MEMORY IS LOW".
