Yep, that's the truth. I bought CFS3 based on the previous versions and was very disappointed. It's nothing more than an arcade game. I didn't live very long on my hard drive.I've heard good things about IL2.Jim

IL-2 all the way. No question about it, in my opinion.

Be sure to grab IL2 Forgotten Battles bundled with the aces expansion and you will have almost all of the aircraft in CFS 3 and then a whole lot more.

Yup, no contest. IL-2 FB head and shoulders. I would not play CFS3 again if they gave it to me.As posted above, with the expansion pack and the latest patch your all set.Once you play IL-2 FB your never playing anything else.....See you in the fence...CYYZ

WOW! I didn't realize CFS3 was a contract job. It shows.After CFS2, I was expecting better things. CFS3 stayed on my hard drive about 3 weeks.I'm gonna have to go out soon and get IL-2++. Everybody in the know says IL-2 is great.Rick

What about LOMAC?If you can get it to work then yes - I'd say LOMAC is the most exciting flight sim ever. The graphics are awesome, even better than IL-2/FB. I was blown away by it when I tried it out. Just compare the F-15's cockpit and HUD with FS versions of similar aircraft...Trouble is it's just so buggy - on my machine at least - that I finally gave up with it, even after the latest patch. But give it a go. If you can get it to work reliably it's absolutely stunning.IanPS. For Sale: LOMAC - ten quid.

I cant tell what all I neet to get for IL-2There is a "IL-2 Forgotten Battles Gold Pack" that claims to be a stand alone with the Ace Expansion included. Do I also need the original IL-2 Sturmovik to go with this?http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/241057.asp It looks like this would be all I need. Correct?

Yes it's all you need. Make sure to get the patch (2.01) from the official IL-2 FB site. It has a slew of new planes to fly and a new map included in it. Not to mention the 2.02 is due out anytime now that might have a flyable B-25 in it.See you in the fence...CYYZ
