September 19, 201213 yr Commercial Member Jerome - I appreciate your honesty and that is why we are never settled. I do not want to give out time frames at this time, because you just never know, but I know it will not be much longer. We will post details on our forum. September 19, 201213 yr The thing that bothers me about REXE is that when I'm flying online with others in the exact same area and we're all using REXE, we all get different winds from different directions, so much so that sometimes we have to use different runways to land on, making landings a bit of a problem.
September 20, 201213 yr Anybody using Opus with Rex Textures Please compare OPus+Rex textures VS As2012+Rex Textures. Rex you guys have improved, maybe not the weather engine, but i only used to use rex textures, but the weather GUI of rex that shows just the info you need (storm turbulence etc) i think its great. Opus/Hifi and Rex need to team up.
September 21, 201213 yr I quit using REX-E for weather depiction after so many issues. I greatly prefer ASE in DWC mode with cloud re-draw supression. - This gives by far the most realistic weather of any program on the market IMO. I use REX-E only for textures. I have a question about ASE and the cloud re-draw supression. Say i take off from airport A and weather is fine, but i land at airport B and weather is crappy and IFR. Does ASE draw the crappy weather then? Is there some sort of tripwire between two stations reports that force it to draw new clouds, otherwise it wouldnt be realistic? I like using the cloud re draw thing, but it seems it is more for local VFR flying where there wont be that big a change in weather rather than long distance hauls where you may see sunny on one end and Rainy and foggy on the other
